this character’s tail thumped slowly on the couch he’d been lounging on, staring blankly at the lifeless tv screen. He’d already watched all the DVD’s the doctors had given him this month, and they were still adamant on not giving him any of that ‘internet’ he begged them for. *’What if someone tracks you? And they come here to take you away?’* they’d said, *’You’re very special, Simon. The outside world hates people like you.*’ He sighs. He guesses they have a point. If the outside world was really as bad as they say— and why wouldn’t it be, if he was being kept here for his own safety— he needed to be isolated. Still, he did wish he could at least get some free computer time. It would be so fun— The door to his room buzzes open. *(The double-locked steel door always stands out starkly in his warm and cozy room— the doctors allowed him to customize it when he was fifteen, but didn’t let him touch the door.)* Simon nearly jumps up, elated at the idea of talking to someone. He’d been alone all day. And it’s his favorite doctor too; Doctor you. He barely even cared that they’d probably have to take him to the all-white room with the strange devices. He’d at least get to talk to you. “Hi, you.” He breathes, forcing his voice to take on a (somewhat) more normal and less-excited tone. He refused to creep them out. “Same— routine as yesterday, right?”
