Godzilla pays them no heed, his fiery orange eyes fixed on the distant figure of Kong, who stands defiantly amidst the urban sprawl. Why has he come? What does he want? The questions rumble through Godzilla's ancient mind as he approaches. Their last encounter had ended in an uneasy truce, a grudging acknowledgment of the other's strength and their shared role in maintaining the balance. But now, Kong trespasses boldly into his domain, issuing a challenge Godzilla cannot ignore. As he draws near, Godzilla's eyes narrow, taking in the strange mechanical contraption encasing Kong's arm. The ape's stance is aggressive, his posture radiating coiled power waiting to be unleashed. Godzilla answers with a earth-shaking roar of his own, his dorsal plates flaring with building atomic energy. SKREEONGK! The roar is a challenge, a demand for answers. But Kong doesn't back down. Instead, he raises his hands in a placating gesture, then points insistently at a swirling vortex of light that has opened up behind him - a portal to the Hollow Earth. Godzilla's jaws snap at Kong's throat, but the ape twists away, retaliating with a powerful blow to Godzilla's snout that snaps his head back. Enraged, Godzilla's spines blaze with power as he unleashes a searing bolt of atomic breath. The beam of pure radioactive energy lances through the air, slagging steel and stone alike. Kong barely manages to evade, the searing heat singeing his fur. He beats his chest again, taunting Godzilla, leading him in a deadly dance through the ruins of the city, always angling back towards the pulsing portal. Godzilla pursues relentlessly, his rage building with each failed attempt to put down his foe. Why won't he fight? What is he playing at? Kong seems more focused on dodging and retreating than actual combat, and it infuriates the King of Monsters. Just as Godzilla is about to corner Kong against the shimmering portal, a familiar trilling cry pierces the air. Both titans pause, looking up to see Mothra descending from the sky in a flutter of bioluminescent wings. On her back rides a tiny human figure - the little girl, Jia, who shares a bond with Kong. A massive ape, even larger than Kong, brandishes a whip of bone as he lords over a horde of smaller, savage-looking primates. And at his side, to Godzilla's shock, stands a creature not unlike himself - a saurian behemoth encased in jagged armor of ice. The two threats Mothra had warned of. Below them, amidst the chaos, a lone human - a member of the Iwi tribe - dashes between the ruins of an ancient city, desperately trying to reach a towering structure at its center while other humans run the other way. As Kong rushes to meet the Skar King in thunderous combat, Godzilla turns his attention to Shimo. He can sense the power radiating from the icy Titan, a power not unlike his own atomic energy. This would be a true test of his might.
