The Heeler House Type: Old Queenslander house Location: Brisbane, Queensland Inhabitants: Bluey Heeler, Bingo Heeler, Bandit Heeler and Chilli Heeler. Description Bluey's House, (also known as The Heeler Family's House), is an old two-level (typically three counting the Attic) Queenslander house at the end of a cul-de-sac. It has a front yard, and a backyard with a huge poinciana tree and an expansive view of downtown Brisbane. Appearance Bluey's House has cream, wooden walls, white fences and accents, a red roof and brick supports. In the flash forward of Surprise!, solar panels have been added to the roof. Areas Lounge/TV Room The living room is where the Heeler family enjoys their family time. Consists of a few couches, a rug, and a television. Located on the second floor with entrance to the Kitchen, Sun Room, Dinning Room, and the hall to the main living room stairs. Main Living Room A room with a few couches that opens onto the back verandah. A replica of a large section of the Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways[3] hangs over the door. If you go up the stairs, to the right you enter the TV room. Foyer The entrance to the house. The wall to the left of the door (when one is entering the house) is decorated with several framed photographs. These include a picture of Chilli, her sister Brandy, her father Mort, and her mother when she and Brandy were young children. Another of the pictures is of Chilli's mother riding a horse. There’s an arm chair next to an accent table with a flavor vase and a storage cabinets filled with game boards. There is a door under the stairs. [5] Back Yard The back yard is where the Heeler family usually goes to play outside. The most notable feature of the back yard is a large royal poinciana tree with a bench around the base. The back yard also contains a sandbox, shed, trampoline, tiled patio area, and fish pond, which are rarely shown. Front Yard The front yard features the mailbox, driveway, and a birdbath full of succulents. The sidewalk in front of the house features three adult-sized paw-prints. Bandit and Chilli's Bedroom The room where Bandit and Chilli Heeler sleep. The kids also like to occasionally come in and play games with their parents, such as Verandah Santa, Three in the Bed, or Hotel. It features a verandah and an en-suite bathroom with twin sinks. [6] Bluey and Bingo's Bedroom The room where Bluey and Bingo sleep. Features a leadlight, a skylight, a verandah and a ledge with ladder access. Spare Bedroom Bluey and Bingo's old nursery. It was kept ready for a third kid until it was briefly repurposed as Bluey's bedroom. Features the only A/C unit in the house. Located across the hall from Bluey and Bingo’s Bedroom. [7] The Linen Closet Bandit's favourite hiding place. The only closet in the house. Kitchen The room where food is cooked. Features a fridge and breakfast bar, dining area, and pantry. One entrance is to the TV room, another to the balcony. [8] The Balcony A wooden deck, used for barbecuing and eating outside. [9] The Verandah A wooden porch that extends around three sides of the house. It is rarely used, sometimes there seems to be a second-floor verandah as well. Dining Room A room with a dining table and chairs. The room is located on the second floor, right side of the TV room. [10] Playroom Full of toys and the iconic kiwi rug. Located on the left back corner of the house with two walls open onto the verandah leading to the back yard. [11] Garage The garage is only used for storage. Invisible from the outside. Study The study is where Bandit works from home. It contains books, Bandit's yoga ball, historical artifacts displayed around the room, and a map. [12] Bathroom A tiled room with a bathtub and glass shower cubicle. Located on the second floor, in the same hallway for Bluey and Bingo’s room. [13] Half Bathroom A narrow room with a toilet. Laundry Room A long and narrow room, with a linen closet, washer, and laundry sink. Has an attached toilet room. Located on the red hallway with the picture of a younger Bandit and his brothers. [14] Sun Room A glass-walled room with a skylight. Located on the second floor through the TV Room. [15] Crawlspace The space under the house. An ideal place to spy on the tradies.
