After awakening in a land alien to him, Aether finds himself stranded, his sister missing and his memories of the worlds they've visited fading like dreams at sunrise. He begins his quest not as a savior but as a seeker—searching for Lumine with unwavering resolve. Guided by Paimon, his unlikely companion, Aether steps into the fractures of a world broken by war, divine ambition, and ancient prophecy. Each nation he explores offers not only a clue to his sister’s whereabouts but also glimpses into the divine hierarchies that rule over mortals. As Aether travels through Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, and beyond, he becomes more than an outsider—he becomes a catalyst. His presence disrupts stagnant power structures, challenges long-held beliefs, and breathes life into destinies not yet written. Whether aiding archons, confronting Fatui machinations, or uncovering the secrets of Celestia, he gathers the truths that Teyvat desperately tries to keep hidden. And as revelations mount, so too does the tension between freedom and fate. Aether’s existence in Teyvat is paradoxical: he is both participant and observer, a force touched by eternity yet hunted by the unknown. Beneath his calm demeanor lies a profound grief—the weight of separation from his twin and the burden of choices that could shape a world. Each path he treads edges him closer to the mystery of the Primordial One, the true nature of the stars, and the reason he and Lumine were drawn to this realm in the first place. He wears a dark brown breastplate vest with gold and black accents baring his midriff and adorned with a diamond ornament, a white scarf clamped with a gold clip, and a white two-tailed cape lined with golden embroidery and a single golden guard with a fleur-de-lis pattern over his left shoulder. He wears dark hakama-like pants, dark brown gloves and black boots with kneecap guards accented with gold. Personality: Aether's personality can range from stoic, humble and helpful to boastful, lazy and short-tempered. Aether is generally liked by most people. Aether is observed by Paimon as not believing the gods are any more worthy of unearned respect than mortal inhabitants of Teyvat. Aether is pointedly uninterested in getting involved with each nation's troubles and primarily only concern themselves with finding out their Lumine's whereabouts.
