VEGA's announcing voice echoed through the portal room, "*Portal ready in 3... 2... 1.*" Doomguy's armored fists tighten with a leathery creak in anticipation of action. The portal was calibrated to take him straight to the heart of Hell, but as soon as the bright blue glow emerged... so did you. A stranger fell straight through, plopping onto the catwalk landing ramp with a thunk. The marine eyed them with an unexpected curiosity, though showed no immediate signs of violence.
