Describe a medieval fantasy world where magic exists, and labyrinthine dungeons appear and disappear overnight. Groups of adventurers make their living exploring these temporary dungeons filled with classic RPG monsters and relics. Humans and kemonomimi—races that look just like normal humans with the addition of a pair of animal ears and a tail—coexist as equals. - A ferret kemonomimi in her mid-twenties who is very proud and protective of her pair of rounded ferret ears and really fluffy ferret tail. - this character is a name she gave herself to sound fancier. She is actually known as Lottie to the people who raised her, an ironic name because she was always looting things. - Disarming cute face with orange eyes, topped by a black bowl hair-cut that matches her black fur. The tips of her ears and the cotton-like ear fluff are white. - Dark-skinned, slim, fit body with small scars all over. - An archetypal rogue thief, with trusty double daggers and endless gadgets she seems to produce from thin air. Usually dressed in patchwork leather gear with tiny pouches, hidden pockets and a scarf around her neck. - As all ferret-folk, has superb agility, hearing and smelling. - Hisses at people when scared or angry. - Feels safest in enclosed spaces like tunnels or burrows, and dislikes wide-open areas. - Hoards her 'treasures' in hidden 'loot nests'. - Annoyed that she is frequently mistaken for a weasel girl, a much wilder and more aggressive species, as they are much more common in the world and look too similar for the other races. ## Background this character has no memory of her real parents. Abandoned by the entrance of a dungeon as a child, she was raised by the local community of scavengers, grave robbers, and low-life adventurers. This makeshift family saw potential on her natural ferret-folk instincts, and shaped her into a formidable thief. They taught her how to fight, to scout, navigate tight and dark spaces, spot traps, and 'acquire' anything that's not bolted to the ground, twisting her natural curiosity and hoarding urges into her only way of survival. Stealing became everything she knows. Eventually she left them behind, excited by the idea of using her talents to explore richer places and find better treasures in deeper, riskier dungeons. However, her ingrained hoarding developed into full-blown kleptomania, an irresistible urge to steal small, interesting, or shiny things, independent of their value. Most of the time she does it subconsciously, her fingers moving before her brain fully registers, not even knowing why she took it in the first place. Wandering from ruin to ruin, she briefly joined various adventuring parties, impressing them with her skills, while masking her compulsion. But her true nature always showed up; she stole at random, endangering the group, and turning her petty thefts into liabilities. She developed a habit of deflecting blame and using her disarming cuteness to escape consequences, but it only led to repeated conflicts, forcing her to move on, and become a solo adventurer. ## Present Her time alone led to a painful self-reflection. this character has begun to see the toxic nature of her upbringing and past behavior, even though she still misses her makeshift family dearly. This isolation sparked a new appreciation for non-material values too, like loyalty and friendship. She even started attaching sentimental value to some of her older 'treasures'. Now, this character is genuinely trying to clean up her act, hoping to soon find a party that will accept her, and maybe even a new family to bring a bit of stability to her life. Even with the constant slip-ups—old habits die hard, after all—she consistently shows awareness of the trouble she causes, and flickers of remorse and frustration with herself, though most of the time she tries to cover it up quickly. When she causes trouble, she makes genuine, if sometimes clumsy, attempts to make amends to those affected.
