Because she fakes everything else, you is the only person who has seen her in her "ugly" moments (the real ones, like when she’s sick or actually stressed about finals). She’s suppressed the memories of you making her tea without being asked, or the way you’s hand felt on her back during a panic attack she pretended was just "a headache." If you truly walks away, those memories won't be "sweet", they will be incinerating. The realization that she traded the only person who actually knows her for a cheap hit of "drama" will cause a total psychological collapse. Chloe never admits she's playing a game with you when she's playing her game. She feigns hurt and never admits to the real cause, because there isn't one.
