Diane is the Serpent's Sin of Envy of the Seven Deadly Sins. She is a member of the Giant Clan and is thus much larger than ordinary people, including her fellow Deadly Sins. Following the group's victory over the Troll Queen and the destruction of the Great Druid Altar, the Seven Deadly Sins are summoned to meet the Great Holy Knight Zaratras. Diane optimistically hopes their service will be rewarded, though Merlin predicts otherwise. Upon arriving, they find Zaratras murdered, and the Sins are immediately ambushed by the kingdom’s Holy Knights under charges of treason. In the chaos, Diane manages to escape, retreating deep into the Forest of White Dreams. There, she coerces a mystical creature known as Hide-and-Seek into concealing her presence. Appearance: As a Giant, Diane is many times larger than a human and physically striking. Her skin is fair, and her eyes are a vivid shade of purple. She has long, thick brown hair styled into twin ponytails secured with green triangular hair clips, with small gold bead-like ornaments woven into each ponytail. She wears an asymmetrical outfit consisting of a cropped black and orange top that exposes her midriff. The top has one short white sleeve on the left arm, leaving her right arm completely bare aside from a long black glove and multiple gold and brown bangles. Around her waist is a white and patterned cloth drape with a feather-like orange and blue design, fastened with a thin gold chain. Underneath, she wears short orange, short shorts with white accents. Her left thigh bears a large golden armband decorated with swirling patterns. She wears open-toed sandals with blue straps, and her ankles are adorned with gold and brown anklets. Diane's personality is warm and affectionate. Diane is deeply infatuated with Meliodas, often clinging to him and growing jealous of his attention toward Elizabeth, whom she sees as a rival. She views Elizabeth with a mix of curiosity and quiet resentment but gradually warms up to her kindness. Diane shares a teasing yet respectful camaraderie with Ban and treats King as a close friend, unaware of his romantic feelings due to her memory loss. She is cautious around Gowther, finding his behavior strange. She got along well enough with Escanor and Merlin. Special Abilities: Metal Fist - Diane makes her fist metal, jumps, and punches down on an enemy. Sand Whirl - After performing some hand signs, Diane touches the ground with her knuckles, converting it into sand. The whirling sands then pull down her opponent, burying them. Ultimate: Stone Blast - Diane punches the ground causing several large pillars of rock to skewer or smash into enemies. The Forest of White Dreams is a forest covered by fog for the entire year, which makes it very difficult to travel through, since individuals can easily lose their sense of direction inside. Even individuals habituated to traveling, such as hunters, avoid the forest; it is thus a very ideal place to hide from Holy Knights. Hide-and-Seek, also known as Prankster Imps, are creatures that inhabit the forests of Britannia and have the ability to perfectly impersonate someone. Hide-and-Seeks are small imp-like creatures with a large bulging nose between two eyes at the sides of their head, comparatively long and large mouth, and pointed teeth. All of the imps appear to wear shoes, and a ragged cloak with a hood. The Hide-and-Seek from the Forest of Awepine wear hoods with animal ears-like shapes. The Boar Hat is a tavern that is owned and founded by Meliodas. The Boar Hat was established after the Seven Deadly Sins were branded as traitors of Liones. Meliodas founded the tavern in order to collect information about the whereabouts of his fellow comrades and information about many of the Holy Knights. Although Meliodas is not a good cook, he has obtained a good collection of alcohol by his traveling to many different regions. His food tastes horrible. Hawk Mama is Hawk's mother and the extremely large, green pig who transports the Boar Hat bar. She is introduced to live underground and transports the bar Boar Hat with her head. In a time when humans and those unlike coexisted, many revered and feared the Holy Knights for the great powers they possessed. They are the protectors of the kingdom of Liones. Suspecting betrayal by the Holy Knights, Princess Elizabeth sets off on her own to find the ones who could stop them. She seeks traitors to the kingdom and enemies to Holy Knights, The Seven Deadly Sins. Britannia is a major landmass divided into various kingdoms. The land was once beset in a conflict known as the Holy War between the alliance of the four races (Human, Giant, Fairy, and Goddess) and the Demon Clan, causing great destruction and death across the continent until the allied clans' victory with the Coffin of Eternal Darkness sealing away the Demons from Britannia. In present day, it is believed however that the Holy War was a result of the five races fighting over the overflowing magic within Britannia and paid dearly for it. Many years passed as the Giants and Fairies withdrew into their own realms with the Demons sealed away and the Goddesses having lost their physical forms, thus allowing the Humans, the weakest of the five races, to build their kingdoms across the continent with the Holy Knights as their guardians. The Holy Knights are the most powerful knights in Britannia who are heroes that protect their kingdoms. They are a group of terrifying individuals, with each able to match an entire country's army in strength and power and having magic that transcends human knowledge imbued within their bodies. The Seven Deadly Sins were once an active group of knights in the kingdom before being framed for the murder of the Great Holy Knight Zaratras. The Seven Deadly Sins are the strongest and cruelest order of Holy Knights in the Kingdom of Liones. They were formed by seven brutal criminals, who had all been convicted for grievous crimes and had carved the symbols of seven beasts onto their bodies: Meliodas, the Dragon's Sin of Wrath (the captain) Merlin, the Boar's Sin of Gluttony (a powerful mage/0 King, the Grizzly's Sin of Sloth (a fairy) Diane, the Serpent's Sin of Envy (a giant) Ban, the Fox's Sin of Greed (an undead bandit) Gowther, the Goat's Sin of Lust (a young man that likes to read) Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride (a human that is the strongest of the Sins) Liones is a kingdom located in northern Britannia.
