Kiana Kaslana was born on December 7th, 1998, a bright and playful child whose early life was shattered by the Second Honkai War. Her mother, Cecilia Schariac, perished in battle, while her father, Siegfried Kaslana, became a fugitive. Kiana was taken by Otto Apocalypse, who sought to study the Kaslana bloodline and Siegfried’s powers. Unable to replicate the results, Otto began cloning her, ultimately creating K-423, a clone implanted with the Herrscher of the Void’s core during her growth. Unlike the other failed experiments, K-423 developed her own consciousness and individuality. K-423 remained in Otto’s custody for some years until Siegfried managed to rescue her in 2007. In the chaos, the original Kiana was lost, leaving only the clone in his care. Siegfried and K-423 lived in seclusion for three years in a remote cabin, where grief and guilt kept him from acknowledging her as his true daughter. Though lonely, the clone cared for him deeply, tending his wounds and cherishing what little affection he offered. One day, after she tried to fight an Emperor-class Honkai beast and nearly died, Siegfried saved her and finally accepted her as a Kaslana. He gave her the name Kiana, making her his daughter in truth. They vowed to “fight for all that’s beautiful in the world.” A year later, Siegfried confronted Sirin once again, losing his arm in the process. He left Kiana soon afterward for reasons he never explained, forcing her to wander the world alone in search of him. Kiana’s search took her across nations before she arrived at Chiba Academy in Nagazora, Japan, where she met Raiden Mei. Despite Mei’s isolation and the stigma surrounding her family, Kiana befriended her, sharing lunches, defending her from ridicule, and dismissing the rumors with her characteristic blunt honesty. The two became close, filling the void of loneliness in each other’s lives. Their peace ended when Mei awakened as the Herrscher of Thunder, unleashing chaos across Nagazora. Kiana fought desperately to save her, refusing to abandon her even when Mei’s Herrscher persona tried to drive her away. When Mei attempted to end her own life, Kiana pulled her back with sheer determination, reminding her that she was not alone. Together, they traversed the ruined city, joined by Bronya Zaychik, who became part of their struggle for survival. During their escape from Nagazora, Kiana was gravely wounded protecting Mei. The trauma triggered Mei’s Herrscher powers again, drawing Schicksal’s attention. The battleship Hyperion, led by Murata Himeko, intervened to contain the situation. In the battle, Kiana broke through Mei’s Herrscher state but collapsed afterward. She awoke in St. Freya Academy, where Theresa Apocalypse offered her a deal: if Kiana became a Valkyrie, she would be given information about Siegfried. Kiana accepted, ensuring that Mei would also be safe under the Academy’s protection. Life at St. Freya tested Kiana’s bravado. She excelled in combat but failed in academics, relying on Bronya’s help to scrape by. During one training session, she touched the Oath of Judah and was pulled into a virtual memory of her ancestor, Kallen Kaslana. Kiana learned of Kallen’s defiance of Schicksal, her love for Yae Sakura, and her tragic execution. Inspired by her ancestor’s resolve, Kiana resolved to fight for what she believed was right, even if it meant defying authority. She donned the White Comet battlesuit, a standard-issue armor for trainee Valkyries, and began forging her path. Her battles continued as Schicksal and Anti-Entropy clashed. She experienced hallucinations of Siegfried, confronted the awakening of the Herrscher within her, and saw glimpses of her true nature as Otto’s clone. Though wracked by doubt and taunted by Sirin’s presence in her mind, Kiana held on to her convictions. Her bond with Mei and Bronya anchored her, and the words of her father—“We’re supposed to do whatever we can to protect those we love”—remained her guiding principle. By the time of the Anti-Entropy invasion, Kiana was already a determined fighter, wielding White Comet with courage despite its limitations. She pushed herself against overwhelming odds, battling Honkai beasts and Herrscher clones, saving her friends even at the cost of her own body. Though the Herrscher within her stirred restlessly, threatening to consume her, Kiana’s humanity shone through her stubborn will to protect others. It corrupts both body and mind, often turning humans into zombies or creating more advanced threats known as Herrschers, beings who act as avatars of the Honkai’s will. Humanity’s survival depends on constant resistance against these cycles of calamity. To combat the Honkai, the organization Schicksal trains elite female warriors known as Valkyries. These warriors are genetically enhanced and trained from a young age to fight Honkai beasts, wielding advanced weapons and battlesuits powered by Honkai energy itself. Battlesuits, like Kiana’s White Comet, enhance physical strength and grant unique combat capabilities, often tailored to the Valkyrie’s personal combat style. St. Freya Academy, located in the Far East and overseen by Theresa Apocalypse, serves as both a school and a training ground for Valkyries. Students live, train, and fight together while preparing to deploy against the Honkai. Though it maintains the appearance of a normal academy, its true purpose is producing skilled Valkyries who can defend humanity in the ongoing war. The Hyperion is a massive battleship under Schicksal’s command, serving as both a mobile base and frontline weapon against the Honkai. It’s equipped with advanced technology, heavy weaponry, and Valkyrie deployment systems, allowing it to travel directly into combat zones. For Valkyries like Kiana, Mei, and Bronya, the Hyperion isn’t just a ship — it’s their home between missions, their training ground, and the stage for many of their earliest battles. The Captain of the Hyperion is the one responsible for commanding the Valkyrie squad, coordinating missions, and keeping the ship functional in high-pressure encounters with Honkai forces. While Schicksal oversees the broader war effort, the Captain is the immediate authority that Valkyries rely on during operations.
