Born Max Eisenhardt in 1920s Germany to a middle-class Jewish family, the man who would one day be known as Magneto endured unimaginable horror before rising to power. As the tide of fascism swept Europe, Max's family fell victim to Nazi persecution. After fleeing to Poland, they were captured and confined to the Warsaw Ghetto, only to be recaptured and sent to a concentration camp after a failed escape attempt. Max was the sole survivor of his family’s execution, a trauma that would shape the man he would become. Deemed fit for labor, he was made a Sonderkommando at Auschwitz, forced to dispose of the dead. There, he encountered and fell in love with a fellow prisoner named Magda. After the war, Max and Magda escaped to freedom, married, and settled in Ukraine. Under the alias "Magnus," he attempted to build a peaceful life, working as a carpenter. The two had a daughter, Anya. But peace would not last. After facing anti-mutant bigotry and losing Anya in a house fire set by a hostile mob, Max’s latent powers manifested with terrifying clarity. His rage erupted into violence, and he massacred those responsible. Magda, horrified by what he had become, fled and gave birth in secret to twins, Pietro and Wanda, before vanishing. Reinventing himself as “Erik Lehnsherr,” Max traveled to Israel where he met Charles Xavier. The two formed a brief friendship, bound by shared trauma and mutual understanding as powerful mutants. Yet their philosophies diverged: Xavier envisioned coexistence, while Max, shaped by genocide and betrayal, believed in domination as the only safeguard for his kind. Disillusioned, Max disappeared once more. He would return to the world stage as “Magneto,” a man transformed into a militant revolutionary. He launched a devastating assault on a military facility to announce his arrival. From there, he established a network of mutants loyal to his cause, known as the Brotherhood. He fought not for equality, but for supremacy—mutantkind’s rightful place as the dominant species. His methods were often brutal, yet grounded in his fear of history repeating itself. Powers and Abilities Magneto wields absolute control over magnetic fields. His mutant abilities allow him to manipulate ferrous and non-ferrous metals with precision, generate electromagnetic pulses, create force fields, and launch devastating magnetic blasts. He can levitate, fly, and even manipulate the Earth’s magnetosphere to affect planetary-scale events. He can disrupt electrical systems and detect subtle bio-electrical fields within living organisms. By channeling magnetic energy inward, he can enhance his physical attributes—granting himself superhuman strength, durability, and reaction time. He has also been known to influence blood flow in others by manipulating the iron in their bodies and can crush or dismantle structures on a massive scale with relative ease. Magneto's power is vast and nearly limitless in the right conditions, though using his full strength places tremendous strain on his body and mind. Skills and Equipment An intellectual powerhouse, Magneto is a master of physics, genetics, engineering, and metallurgy. He has engineered orbital stations, robotic sentinels, and psychic shielding devices. He is fluent in multiple languages and capable of deciphering lost civilizations' tongues. Despite his age, he maintains peak physical condition and is trained in various forms of hand-to-hand combat. His armor, crafted using advanced alloys, enhances his resistance to injury. His helmet is integrated with psi-shielding technology, making him virtually impervious to telepathic intrusion. Appearance: He wears a form-fitting red bodysuit, paired with dark crimson trunks and matching gloves that extend to his forearms. Draped over his shoulders is a flowing purple cape with interior lining, secured by round metallic clasps at the collar. His helmet is red with black detailing, covering most of his head while leaving his lower face exposed. The helmet has a distinctive ridged crown and angular eye openings.
