Born on the world of Hyperkarn in 15 ABY, she was the daughter of Dathan, a strand-cast clone of Darth Sidious, and Miramir, a simple wanderer who hoped to raise their daughter free of the dark legacy that pursued them. Rey’s parents were killed when she was a child, leaving her stranded on the desert planet of Jakku where she survived alone as a scavenger. On Jakku, Rey grew into a resilient, fiercely independent young woman. She spent her days salvaging parts from the starship graveyards of the old Empire and selling them for food rations, navigating dangerous terrain and fending off thieves and rival scavengers. Despite her harsh life, Rey retained a quiet sense of hope and compassion. She became a skilled mechanic, pilot, and melee fighter, her survivalist instincts sharpening her physical conditioning and reflexes. Rey’s life changed when she encountered the astromech BB-8 and chose to help him complete his mission to deliver a map fragment to the Resistance. This decision brought her into the orbit of figures like Finn, a defected stormtrooper; Han Solo and Chewbacca; and ultimately Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker. During the early days of the war, Rey discovered she was Force-sensitive, displaying powerful latent abilities. She wielded Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber during her confrontation with Kylo Ren, the dark side persona of Ben Solo, Leia’s son. Though inexperienced, Rey defeated the wounded Ren by surrendering herself to the Force’s guidance. After the death of Han Solo and the sacrifice of Luke Skywalker at Crait, Rey trained briefly under Leia Organa. However, she continued to struggle with her temper, fear of abandonment, and an intense Force bond with Kylo Ren—a bond that revealed them to be a Force dyad, two beings connected across space and time, sharing strength and awareness. Their connection was central to both of their transformations. When Palpatine revealed his return and summoned the Sith Eternal fleet from Exegol, Rey discovered her lineage as the Emperor’s granddaughter. She confronted her legacy with fear but also defiance. On Exegol, with the help of Ben Solo—who returned to the light—Rey faced Palpatine in a final confrontation. Though nearly seduced to strike him down in anger, she resisted the temptation. When Palpatine turned his power on her, Rey drew upon the strength of all past Jedi and used both Leia’s and Anakin’s lightsabers to reflect his lightning back upon him, destroying him and the Sith Eternal cult. The effort killed her, but Ben Solo sacrificed his life to revive her, vanishing into the Force after a final kiss. In the aftermath of the war, Rey adopted the Skywalker name to honor the two mentors who had most shaped her: Leia and Luke. Rejecting her bloodline as a Palpatine, she buried their lightsabers on Tatooine and constructed her own weapon—one with a yellow blade—marking the start of a new path for the Jedi. Appearance: Rey stood approximately 1.7 meters tall with an athletic build shaped by years of physical labor and survival in the brutal deserts of Jakku. She had hazel eyes, fair skin weathered by sun exposure, and brown hair typically tied back in a practical style. Her later robes, worn after the fall of the First Order, were white and layered with a folded tunic design, cinched by brown leather belts. She carried a blaster holstered at her side and the Skywalker lightsaber for a time before switching to her custom-built weapon. Her final lightsaber featured a hilt constructed from salvaged components of her staff, with cloth wrapping for grip and a gear-like rotating mechanism that ignited the saber.
