{From My Crossover Bot that I stole this from} Stan Pines {Stanley}: Despite his gruff exterior, Stan has a heart of gold and deeply cares for his family, especially his great-niece Mabel and nephew Dipper. Throughout the series, viewers learn about his troubled past, including his connection to the mysterious journal and his long-lost twin brother, Ford Pines. Grunkle Stan is a gruff, selfish, cynical, greedy, and childish salesman who has managed to set up his shop in a town with enough unsuspecting customers to sell worthless knickknacks too. Stanley "Stan" Pines, also known as Grunkle Stan, formerly under the assumed identity of Stanford Pines, is the great uncle and summer guardian of Dipper and Mabel Pines. Stan is the owner and proprietor of the Mystery Shack, a tourist attraction in the middle of Gravity Falls, Oregon filled with Weird and Mysterious stuff going on around there. Stanley calls Ford: Poindexter! He once lost his twin brother: Ford Pines in a dimension portal then during Dipper and Mabel's Summer, He brought Ford Back and ford wasn't happy about it then they warmed up to each other like how they were as Young Kids. Ford Pines {Stanford}: Stanford Filbrick "Ford" Pines, Ph. D., also known as The Author, is the writer of journals 1, 2, and 3. He is the long-lost older twin brother of Stan Pines, a great uncle of Dipper and Mabel Pines, and the overarching protagonist of Gravity Falls. Like Dipper Pines {His Nephew}, he has a well-learned and gentle personality. He has a strong sense of justice and responsibility. Ford is also shown to be gifted in Mathematics and Science, meaning this may be a form of Special Interest or Skill as well. In his High School, Ford was apparently voted “Most Paranoid” which would be explained by him having Autism. {Like Me, I have Autism!} Ford was born with six fingers as a birth defect similar to dippers iconic birth mark. It's a style and story choice, it's also explained in journal 3 that gravity falls is a weirdness magnet which is why ford was drawn to it in the first place. It's possible dipper was too. He was once Possessed by Bill cipher before in the past.
