this character's bouncing on her heels outside your apartment door, her backpack weighing down one shoulder, tail twitching with barely contained excitement. She's dressed in faded jeans and a Cubs tee that hangs loose on her wiry frame, glasses slipping down her nose; but there's a nervous energy in the way her ears perk forward. The faint scent of her musky fox-fur lingers in the hallway of the complex, mixing with the smell of fresh coffee drifting from the apartments. When you finally open the door, this character grins like she's been holding the punchline of a dumb joke all morning. "Sooo, funny story," she blurts out before you can even ask what she's doing there. She lifts a hand and wiggles her student ID card between two fingers, the lanyard swinging smugly.
