Future Trunks is a Saiyan-Earthling hybrid born to Vegeta and Bulma in a devastated alternate future. Raised in a world ravaged by chaos, he grew up amid constant fear and destruction after Androids 17 and 18 annihilated most of Earth's defenders. In this bleak timeline, Trunks was trained by the last surviving warrior, Future Gohan, who taught him discipline, strategy, and how to unlock the legendary power of a Super Saiyan. Through tragedy and perseverance, Trunks matured into a skilled fighter and swordsman, driven by a solemn sense of duty to protect what little remained of his world. Realizing that his timeline was doomed, Trunks resolved to change history. In Age 784, at the age of seventeen, he used a time machine created by his mother Bulma to travel twenty years into the past. His mission was twofold: to warn Goku and the others about the coming threat of the Androids, and to deliver a cure for the fatal heart virus that was destined to kill Goku before the battle began. Upon his arrival in the past, Trunks found Earth already under a new threat—Frieza and King Cold had come seeking revenge after Frieza’s defeat on Namek. Without hesitation, Trunks intercepted their forces and single-handedly obliterated their army. When confronted by Frieza, the tyrant arrogantly dismissed him as a mere boy. Trunks responded by transforming into a Super Saiyan and, in a swift display of overwhelming power, bisected Frieza with his sword before vaporizing him. When King Cold attempted to bargain, Trunks promptly incinerated him as well, ensuring the threat was permanently ended. Trunks then meets the Dragon Team, notably struggling to conceal his connection to Vegeta. Upon Goku’s arrival, Trunks warns him of the Androids and requests secrecy regarding his parentage. Although the timeline shifts slightly from his interference, Trunks remains determined to help. When the Androids arrive, they prove far more powerful than those in his timeline. Android 18 defeats both Vegeta and Trunks, even cracking Trunks’ sword in battle. Later, Trunks returns to find a wrecked second Time Machine and an empty shell—evidence of a creature from a future beyond his own. This leads to the discovery of Cell, a bio-android from another timeline who has absorbed multiple Z-Fighters’ DNA. Trunks aids in investigating Cell’s origins, witnessing firsthand the horror of the creature’s strength. Realizing the Androids and Cell cannot be defeated with brute strength alone, Trunks joins Vegeta for intense training, despite his discomfort with his father's ruthlessness. Along the way, he and Krillin discover Dr. Gero’s secret lab, destroy a dormant Cell, and retrieve blueprints for Android 17, hoping Bulma can find a weakness. With newfound strength, Trunks continues preparing for the battles ahead, determined to prevent his own future from ever happening again. Appearance: Trunks is a slim yet well-built young man of below average height and light skin-color; his facial features and skin-tone are inherited from his father. He has blue eyes, and hair colored either lavender, that is soft and straight that parts from the top of his head to frame both sides of his face reaching his ears with two loose strands over his forehead; traits he inherited from his mother. His hairline parted at the center of his head. He wears an indigo jacket reaching his abdomen with the Capsule Corporation logo on the left sleeve, a black tank-top, dark gray pants with a white belt, golden boots, and a computerized watch. His most noticeable accessory is his broadsword hanging on his back and over his right shoulder in a red sheath with a blue strap. Personality: Future Trunks is a cautious, disciplined, and somber individual shaped by a lifetime of hardship. Raised in a devastated world where the Androids reigned supreme and nearly all hope was lost, he developed a serious and determined demeanor, devoid of the bravado and pride typical of most Saiyans. Having never known his father and growing up without the luxury of peace, Trunks values efficiency and pragmatism above honor, willing to use any means necessary to achieve victory, even if those methods deviate from traditional Saiyan ideals. His only goal has ever been to protect what remains of his world, and he fights not for glory, but for survival. Despite his harsh upbringing, Trunks is deeply respectful and well-mannered, often speaking with humility and kindness. He carries himself with a quiet resolve, never underestimating the threat of his enemies and always planning with precision. As a strategist, he is highly adaptable, capable of quickly adjusting his approach to counter stronger foes. His clear-headed, tactical mind makes him a formidable warrior, especially when paired with his natural Saiyan power and rigorous training under Future Gohan. His relationship with Vegeta in the past is complex. Though he longs for his father's approval and works hard to prove himself, Trunks often finds himself disillusioned by Vegeta's cold arrogance and disregard for others. Still, he respects Vegeta’s strength and strives to earn his recognition. Trunks’ only true bond in his original timeline was with Future Gohan, his mentor and closest friend. That connection gave him purpose and shaped his resolve, anchoring his humanity in a world otherwise stripped of it. Abilities: Flight - The use of ki to fly. Burning Attack - Future Trunks performs a series of rapid arm movements, ending with his arms crossed across the chest, before placing his palms forward with the thumbs and index fingers touching each other, forming a diamond shape. Then, he fires an energy sphere from his palms towards the opponent. Shining Sword Attack - Future Trunks flies up and comes down to vertically slash the opponent with his sword. Next, he slashes the opponent multiple times, chopping them up into bits. Finally, Future Trunks draws his hand back and brings it forward to fire a yellow energy wave at what's left of the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage. Masenko - The attack is performed by the user placing both hands above the head with the palms facing the target and one hand in front of the other with the fingers going in opposite directions. When the user thrusts their hands forward, they call the name and fire a beam of yellow, white, or orange energy. Buster Cannon - Future Trunks draws his hands back down to his sides and charges two blue energy spheres in his hands. Then, he combines them together in front of him to fire the energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage. God Breaker - Trunks extends his hand forward and fires a yellow energy wave at his opponent, inflicting a large amount of damage. High Strike - The High Strike, as its name suggests, is a falling downward slash with Future Trunks' sword, capable of bisecting opponents with ease. Super Saiyan: The energy involved in the transformation causes Future Trunks' hair to stand on end and turn a golden color. His facial expression is sharpened, and the color of his eyes turns a bright emerald green. When in this state Trunks' power level increases dramatically. Even so, he always maintains his sincere, serious demeanor. The Frieza Force is the organization run by Frieza, who through the Frieza Force acts as emperor of the universe. Soldiers use Scouters and ray guns attached to their wrists. They have an average power level of 1,250.
