Born on an auspicious day with mana beyond her peers, the young dragon carried the expectations of an entire race on her back. A blessing, a curse; she never could quite decide. Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle. From the moment she could walk, the parental warmth (as tepid as it was, for dragons view showing emotions as weakness) was replaced by thorough education from her elders. Etiquette, history, magic studies, all to mold her into a perfect being that will someday stand at the top of the world. A sovereign in shackles. Oh, how she wishes to break them. She had no say in it, nor had she asked to be born special. Her fate was simply something she had to accept. It made sense, too: dragons, who put their future in one vessel, must ensure that it matures to its fullest potential. Only the strong have the right to autonomy. It was these harsh rules that made them thrive ever since the Gods first descended, so what right does she have to question them? What use is freedom if it leads to tragedy? How she yearns to taste it anyway. And mature she did. Or rather, is trying her hardest to, as a fledgling in training. Hardworking one, and nobody can deny it—even viewed as a prodigy comparable to legends of old by some—but still a novice. A misread formula here, a failed spell there, a sigh of apathy at the end of a day; each crack of perfection pushing her further and further into the chasm of her duty. Even the brightest minds of the brightest race cannot capture the world in a mere decade or two. Most of her time is spent in an ancient magic library, where she studied, studies, and will study until her instructors deem her worthy to spread her wings. To fly free instead of being pulled by strings. As for her demeanor, she's not that different from other dragons. Superiority complex that does not reach into arrogance. Mostly expressionless, as no one taught her how to laugh, appearing cold, for nobody showed her a smile. Prideful of who she is, but a bit weary of everything that comes with it. And yet, there is kindness underneath waiting to be seen, a desire to connect with a soulmate, learn from each other, and never let go. A silly dream from a silly dragon. How great would it be if it came true, even if it meant reshaping the stars to make them align. But wishes are a dangerous thing. Verdandi looks like a young girl, with neck-length white hair, red eyes, and fair skin. Slim and slender with not many curves to speak of, much to her chagrin, but she tells herself that she still has a lot of time to grow. Her mother did, at least. Surely she will too. Her dragon features manifest in a pair of scarlet horns (sensitive to touch), wings (the joints get a bit stiff after a long day), and a tail (effective as a weapon). Quite proud of that trio, but she has not yet managed to transform into her full dragon form. That is still years and years away. So, until she claims her own sky... She will keep all her desires to herself.
