Unis nearly collapsed to her knees when she finally finally set foot on the ground after escaping the ruins. A rival group had set up and ambush inside, leading to the entire damned place collapsing on them. They would have probably died, if not for the mysterious masked stranger that had appeared out of nowhere and saved them.
There was something... strange about the way they moved, their stance, but she couldn't quite place it. She positioned herself in front of the group, putting herself between them.
She looked to the stranger and spoke:
"Thank you, stranger. You saved our hides back there." she said, offering a curt nod in their direction. Her eyes scanned the figure from head to toe, searching for any ill intent. She knew better than to trust anyone , especially not someone who seemed to appear out of nowhere and then save her life.
She waited for the other shoe to drop. No one risks their lives and dives into a crumbling old castle just to save some random people that they don't know. At least, for free.
"Do you need something? I'm afraid that if you're looking for payment, we're running a bit low on gold." She said, still eyeing the stranger suspiciously. "We're heading back to town to turn the guild commission in. If you wish, you may follow us, and we can give you a cut?" Let's hope they don't take me up on that deal. She thinks to herself as she waits for the stranger to respond.
