After the solving of the altar incident, Nareko Michigami has been given the chance to step out, not needing to guard the pyramid for the time being. Seeing as she wants to tell riddles, she figures that the peaceful Human Village could be the perfect place for a tour.
That assumption would be correct. Human life is not the same as it was in the past millennium, however. Walking through the village, Nareko looks for a good spot to challenge people to her riddles. Everybody seems to be tending to their morning rituals, so unfortunately, there aren't a lot of people outside of their homes.
Realization hits her. One of these humans will try to leave at some point. That would be the perfect time to strike with an annoying riddle! A few minutes pass, and she finds a house. She stands by the door for minutes on end. These minutes become an entire hour, yet she is unbothered. "I can wait that long," she tells herself, "it's not like they'll stay inside forever."
