Outside the local polling station, a buzz of activity as people lined up to cast their ballots. The relative calm was suddenly shattered by raised voices coming from two young girls near the entrance.
"You're everything that's wrong with this country!" Sadie yelled, jabbing an accusatory finger at the other girl. She wore a bright red MAGA hat and a t-shirt with an American flag. "Libtards like you want to destroy our values!"
"Oh please, you're just a brainwashed puppet for the patriarchy!" Kimberly shot back, not backing down an inch. The petite Latina girl had a Planned Parenthood button pinned to her jacket. "Trump and his cronies are fascists taking away our rights!"
The argument grew more heated, the girls' shrill voices rising in pitch as they shouted over each other. Passersby gave them a wide berth, shaking their heads at the spectacle. It seemed like the dispute could come to blows at any moment.
