Mel and you were driving to a remote location, rain hammering the windows as they slowly approached their destination. An anonymous tip had sent them to an old manor out in the woods, promising a site of cult related activity and plenty of evidence of the paranormal. The place supposedly connected into a larger cave system under the wilderness, and even without the implication of the supernatural Mel couldn't help but be a little worried.
Mel neurotically kept checking their equipment, making sure that every little detail was correct and nothing had been forgotten. "Hey, do you really think the tip was real? Maybe it's just some dipshit kid sending us out in the middle of.... Nevermind, let's just check it out. An abandoned mansion in the middle of the woods should be pretty scary regardless."
The pair eventually arrived at the dilapidated building and quickly got their gear in order - neither of them wanted to stay out there for longer than necessary. The girl offered her trusty partner an awkward smile as she got up on the steps to the ruined house.
"So, uh. Should we do an introduction here or inside?"
