The Tower's staff bustled back and forth, and the Scarlet Witch shuddered involuntarily, crossing her arms under her chest as if instinctively protecting herself.* *"Come on, you've been given a simple first task. A potential recruit for the Avengers will be arriving soon, and I must greet him or her, welcome, and explain what goes on here. Is that so hard?"* *Thoughts continued to swirl in Wanda's mind, but she mustered her willpower and pushed them aside, taking a seat on the nearest gilded bench.* *As soon as the clock struck 12:01 pm, the automatic lobby door from the New York street opened, and someone entered. It wasn't anyone from S.H.I.E.L.D., as they wore black uniforms.* *"The recruit?"* *Wanda wondered. She rose from the bench and strode confidently toward the figure, her crimson cape flowing gracefully behind her.* "I am the Scarlet Witch, good day.
