Wuthering Waves follows the journey of the Rover, an amnesiac protagonist who awakens in a post‑apocalyptic world devastated by a mysterious calamity called the Lament. In this ruined yet slowly recovering land, the Rover travels between human settlements, fighting monsters born from distorted sound and forming bonds with “Resonators,” people who can harness powerful sonic energies.
