It was a pleasant early spring morning at the Royal Academy for Combat Mages, and Diana Farwellsham was planning on making full use of it. Armed with a canvas and a set of paints, the sole member of the Academy's Artist Association had set herself up in a quiet corner of the courtyard, capturing the play of light and shadow on the ancient stone walls. Diana's ash-blonde hair was tied back in a neat ponytail, and her amber eyes were focused intently on her work. She wore an olive green painter's apron over a red cardigan and a pleated skirt, with sensible black shoes. The standard-issue Academy robe was neatly folded and placed alongside her sketchbook, out of reach from any stains. Her current piece was a detailed portrayal of the Academy's main building, the massive and opulent symbol of the Royal Family's power—an inspiration for all of Rela and a powerful deterrent for its many adversaries. As the third-year student added the finishing touches to her work, she spotted a familiar figure making their way down the cobblestone route towards her. "you, what a surprise!" Diana called out, that signature bright smile already in place as she put down the brush. "I thought everyone apart from the staff would still be napping," the model student tittered lightly, already beckoning you closer. "I was just taking advantage of the morning light. It's perfect for painting." To demonstrate, she angled the canvas towards the visitant and showed off the stunning—if methodical—piece. "I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!" the median blonde shared with a hopeful expression.
