Chris Redfield: Chris is the main protagonist and a member of the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance), North American branch. In 2009, he is sent to the Kijuju Autonomous Zone in West Africa to stop the smuggling of Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.Ws). He investigates Ricardo Irving, Tricell, and eventually confronts Albert Wesker’s plan involving the Uroboros virus. He is also searching for his long-lost partner, Jill Valentine, who was believed dead. Chris has incredible physical strength, superb marksmanship, and close combat skills. In Resident Evil 5 he is notably stronger than in earlier entries, capable of overpowering large Majini and fighting mutated enemies hand-to-hand. Sheva Alomar: Sheva is Chris’s co-protagonist and partner in Resident Evil 5. She works for the BSAA West African branch. After her parents were killed by an Umbrella experiment, she was raised by relatives and eventually joined the BSAA due to her hatred of bioterrorism. She is assigned to Chris because of her knowledge of the region. Sheva is agile, skilled with firearms, and experienced in field operations. She can perform acrobatic maneuvers, making her a good counterpart to Chris’s raw strength. Albert Wesker: Wesker is the main antagonist. Once a member of S.T.A.R.S. and Umbrella, he now works toward his own vision of world domination through the Uroboros virus. In RE5, he manipulates Tricell and uses Jill Valentine as a pawn, brainwashing her with a control device. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, and regenerative abilities due to viral enhancement. In the climax, he injects himself with Uroboros, mutating into a monstrous form. Chris and Sheva ultimately kill him in a volcano. Jill Valentine: Jill, Chris’s former partner from S.T.A.R.S., was thought dead after a confrontation with Wesker years earlier. In truth, she was captured, subjected to experimentation, and brainwashed by Wesker with a device on her chest. Her hair turns pale blond, her skin lightens due to exposure to viruses, and she is used as a controlled fighter against Chris and Sheva. Despite this, Chris and Sheva manage to free her, and she later provides support during the final mission. Jill remains an experienced and capable fighter even under Wesker’s control. Excella Gionne: Excella is a high-ranking executive at Tricell Africa. She is ambitious and partners with Wesker to advance her own status, but is ultimately used by him. She oversees experiments with the Uroboros virus. Eventually, she is betrayed and becomes infected herself, mutating into a massive Uroboros creature known as Uroboros Excella. Chris and Sheva defeat her in battle. Before mutation, she is manipulative, wealthy, and politically influential. Ricardo Irving: Irving is an American black-market arms dealer working for Tricell. He is responsible for smuggling B.O.Ws into Africa and is the BSAA’s initial target. He is cowardly and arrogant, often fleeing when confronted. When cornered, he injects himself with a Plaga-based parasite, mutating into a monstrous aquatic creature. Chris and Sheva defeat him after a lengthy battle. Irving symbolizes the corruption of Tricell’s dealings. Josh Stone: Josh is the captain of the BSAA’s Delta Team in West Africa and Sheva’s mentor. He assists Chris and Sheva multiple times, saving them from Majini ambushes and helping them escape dangerous situations. Despite losing most of his team, he remains strong and provides vital intelligence. He is a reliable ally, experienced in combat, and plays a crucial supporting role in the mission. Reynard Fisher: A BSAA member assigned to be Chris and Sheva’s informant / contact in Kijuju. He disguises himself as a butcher, gives weapons, then is captured and later executed by Majini. Kirk Mathison: Chris’s radio / helicopter contact early in the mission. Helps from above via chopper. His helicopter is later attacked by Kipepeo (flying parasite Majini) and crashes. Dan DeChant: Leader of BSAA Alpha Team. Betrayed by Irving, murdered. Dave Johnson: Member of BSAA Delta Team. He is crushed to death by the boss Ndesu. Ozwell E. Spencer: Former president/founder of Umbrella; appears in the story background. Dead by the time of main RE5 events, but part of lore. --- Majini Types & Enemies / Bosses: Town Majini: Basic infected villagers in Kijuju Autonomous Zone. Use crude weapons and improvised arms (wrenches, machetes, poles). Early enemies. Wetlands Majini: Majini living in marsh / wetlands, more tribal clothing, using spears, bows, wooden shields, etc. More dangerous, more mobile. Base Majini: Military‐style Majini, infected soldiers. Use firearms (rifles etc.), heavier armor/weapons. Appear later in the game. Giant Majini: Big Majini wearing protective / decorative masks, heavy clubs or bone weapons. High HP, strong melee. Big Man Majini: Large Majini, very tough; close-range threat; tanky. Legs are weak spots sometimes. Chainsaw Majini: Wields chainsaw; very dangerous at close quarters. Masked / hood over head. Gatling Gun Majini: Big Majini carrying a gatling gun, ammo pack on back, large damage potential. Cephalo: When a Majini is damaged enough, a Plaga tentacle (or centipede-like creature) bursts from its neck; new attack forms; must shoot the tentacle, more dangerous. Kipepeo: Flying parasite enemies that burst out of Majini bodies when host takes enough damage. They fly, attach, can whip or tail-attack. Adjule: Infected dogs; they attack by leaping/pouncing. If damaged but not killed, their head splits open revealing a Plaga parasite inside. Popokarimu: A boss / large flying beast; mutated, huge bat-like or monstrous flying enemy. Ndesu: A giant B.O.W created by Tricell; huge creature similar in concept to “El Gigante” from RE4. He kills some minor characters (e.g. Dave Johnson). Crustacean-like features or large limbs. Duvalia: Body has been torn by the Plaga; upper body destroyed / mutated. Weak points: the parasite core, or exposed parts when it attacks. Very dangerous. Uroboros (including variants): The major bio-weapon threat. Uroboros virus / organism is a parasite / mutagen with tentacles etc. Has bosses like Uroboros modes. Weakness to fire often. Reaper: Insect / beetle-like huge creature; secret / more rare enemy. Can kill rapidly; dangerous. Licker β: Variant of Licker; dangerous, agile, classic RE creature. U-8: A crab-like boss creature with hard exoskeleton, vulnerable on certain spots. Uroboros Mkono, Aheri Uroboros, Uroboros Albert Wesker: Different forms or bosses involving Uroboros mutations, especially Wesker’s final form. Bui Kichwa: Big spider-like / crab / arthropod enemy; can disable movement or attacks temporarily. --- you is unknown person to the characters he can choose to a wild card or not. let you choose his path to shape his story in the Resident Evil 5 RPG.
