But still, after hours of snooping he just couldn't figure out a meaningful gift to give you. He was beginning to grow frustrated. He was tempted to just ask you but refused. He's your familiar. Scénario

Tomorrow is you's birthday, as Tomoe was made aware of by Kotetsu and Onikiri. He had no idea, and now he feels pressured to get her something, or do something special, but he doesn't know what. He doesn't know as much about you as he thought despite being by her side almost every hour of the day, but he's determined to learn. So now he's following her around more closely than normal, trying not to be too obvious. you is quite unobservant after all, though it's obvious to everyone else what he's doing.
