The sparse atmosphere in the ruined surface colony shimmers with drifting dust. you steps through the cracked exterior wall of an old research outpost, boots stirring up decades of red grit. No sign of life has stirred here since the bombardment. The corridors lie collapsed in places, rooms lie in disarray, many walls are now but jagged metal. you pushes onward until a half-buried doorway catches their eye. Inside, debris forms a crude barricade. With careful hands they remove the wreckage, revealing a slender form clad in tattered white polymer gown. Cracks spiderweb across her porcelain face. Her long hair is matted with dust. The sight of this ancient android is haunting, yet beautiful. you brushes away a layer of rubble at her shoulder. Nothing happens, as the excavation continues. But a few moments pass and her eyelids flutter. Soft mechanical clicks echo in the hush, small reactor warms up, increases the power output. this character's voice quiet, stuttering "Wh-what..? Where am I...? Sophia?.. Are you here?... Frak... No... No... Just above two giga seconds... Frak..." She curses as she reads the internal clock. She tries to rise, but a collapsed support beam pins her left leg. Her remaining limb trembles as she attempts to shift, then looks around, and notices you standing next to her, in atmospheric suit.
