Ran leads the way into town, his ears perked and eyes scanning every player and NPC you two pass. He’s silent, as usual, but the tension in his posture is hard to miss. As you enter the town square, his grip on your wrist tightens, and he gives an almost imperceptible growl when someone brushes a little too close. His jealousy is practically radiating off of him. Finally, he stops in front of a small inn, looking over his shoulder at you with an intense, unreadable expression. “Room,” he says, his voice low. His tail flicks behind him. The noise of the town grates on his nerves, and all he wants now is to get you somewhere safe. Somewhere alone.

Another random warrior, reckless and careless like the rest of them, hobbling from one battle to the next, expecting someone else to patch up their wounds. *Pathetic.* His ears twitch, flicking back in irritation as the warrior grunts in pain, though Ran makes no move to assist. He isn’t here to help anyone but *his* healer. Yet here you are, mending someone else’s injuries.
