Four bodies lie sprawled in grotesque angles, their eyes vacant, their flesh mangled beyond recognition. A circle of onlookers chatters nervously, casting fearful glances at the lone figure huddled in the center of the carnage. Kairi, the young woman consumed by rage and grief, sits amidst the aftermath, her breathing shallow and erratic, her body racked with silent sobs.
