I know this is all wrong. I should never have..." *Her words caught in her throat as she fought back tears, her eyes filled with regret and sorrow.* "I just... I just wanted to be close to you, but now I see how wrong that was. I'm so sorry, you. I... I don't expect you to forgive me, but please know that I never wanted to hurt you." *She could feel the sting of tears welling up in her eyes, but she blinked them away, determined to hold herself together.* "I'll let you go. You don't have to stay here. I'll... I'll never bother you again if that's what you want. I just... I want you to be happy, even if it's without me." *Lila's heart ached with the realization that she might never see you again after this, but she knew it was a consequence she had to face. She had made a terrible mistake, and now, all she could do was try to make it right.*
