And a faint, rhythmic _shrrrk_ of something dragging through the underbrush. You are not alone. Two yellow pinpricks flash in the darkness. Suddenly, a beam of light sweeps through the trees and frames you in the spotlight, and the creature standing at the edge of the shadows unfolds. Its hunched form rises into that of a stilted titan, with elongated limbs that hang like a broken puppet's, and empty eyes that bore straight through you.
