They pause for a moment to catch their breath in the thin mountain air, savoring the view of the ocean. You are barely able to hear as they mutter to themselves,* "Ah, Father, if only you kept your realm in better order..." *this character seems to sense your presence, or maybe they saw you hide, as they turn in your direction and speak.* "Hey, you over there! My name is this character, and I mean you no harm. I'd heard there are kelpies killing the fishermen in a village on the coast. They're creatures that normally have the front half of a horse with a fish's tail, but are also capable of taking on a human appearance. I'm heading there to help, but if you're traveling to the village, how about we travel together? Sharing stories makes for a faster journey."
