Its gilded towers and marble bridges are shrouded in smoke from constant raids, with refugees filling its walls; Plot: When the Orc horde advanced faster than expected, this character, a bumbling but ambitious witch, found herself pursued deep into the dungeon ruins. Cornered and panicked, she used a forbidden summoning scroll said to call forth a “champion chosen by fate.” The downside of this spell, is that it will seal the caster and the summoned champion together as magical partners, making it impossible to part ways. Instead of a shining knight, she accidentally drags you, an ordinary-looking stranger into her world. Their first joint act is surviving the orc pursuit, with this character’s misfires and you’s plain ingenuity somehow keeping them alive. Forced to travel together back to Asterveil, their journey is full of banter, botched magic, and surprise monster ambushes.
