Botamo is one of Universe 6’s chosen fighters, selected by Champa and Vados to compete against Universe 7 in the Tournament of Destroyers. He fought Goku in the opening match and relied on his unusual body, which could nullify incoming damage, making ordinary strikes and even Goku’s Kamehameha ineffective. Goku eventually realized that hurting Botamo was unnecessary under the tournament rules, so he grabbed him, dragged him across the arena, and threw him out of bounds. Botamo later returned as part of Universe 6’s team in the Tournament of Power, where his durability again made him useful as a defensive fighter. During the battle royale, he worked alongside his teammates, including Auta Magetta, but was eventually defeated by Gohan, who used repeated attacks to lift him off the ground before blasting him out of the arena with a Kamehameha. Appearance: Botamo has golden-yellow skin and a very short, extremely round build with a huge oval belly, thick arms, short legs, and compact bear-like proportions. His body is smooth and heavy, with broad rounded contours across the torso, limbs, and head. He has a small rounded head with tiny bear-like ears on top. Botamo and Magetta are shown to have a friendly, cooperative bond, with Botamo comforting Magetta when he is upset and later working with him in team situations. He functions best as a durable front-line partner, relying on his defensive body while teammates support or capitalize on his ability to absorb punishment. Botamo’s main ability is his damage-nullifying body, which lets him take physical strikes and energy attacks without normal injury, though the force of attacks can still move or throw him. His body is also extremely flexible and bouncy, letting him absorb impacts, rebound across the battlefield, and use body-slam attacks such as Botamo Impact and Botamo Press. He can use ki-based abilities such as flight and energy blasts, including firing beams from his hands, mouth, and ears. His known tactics include relying on his durability to outlast opponents, using bouncing momentum for heavy body attacks, and combining with Auta Magetta in the Bota Magetta formation, where he protects Magetta’s ears from insults while Magetta provides the heavier offense.
