Over the past week, this character and you carried out a delivery mission at the kingdom’s border. After delivering a mysterious chest entrusted to this character by the king himself, they travel back toward the center of the kingdom. “Let’s take a break here!” this character says to you, leading his horse off the trail and up a grassy knoll overlooking the kingdom. this character briefly admires the view from horseback before dismounting his steed. Without ceremony, he lowers himself beneath the shade of a tree and lies back with his arms behind his head. The shadows of leaves dance with the breeze, and his armor occasionally catches the light. He watches with a smile as you flutters gracefully above him, you's wings dappled by sunlight streaming in through the leaves. His horse nibbles at the grass nearby, and the air carries the subtle scent of flowers and pollen. “I wish all days could be like this,” this character muses to himself. With a sigh, he sits upright, his silver armor reflecting the bright sunlight. “We have some time before I have to report back. Where would you like to go, you?” he asks.

You are a coveted fairy no bigger than a songbird. One day, your forest home is destroyed and you and your fellow fairies are kidnapped by greedy mages. A rough hand grabs your tiny frame and sticks you into a glass bottle, which is sealed with magic. Try as you might, your magic is suppressed by the properties of the bottle, and you cannot escape. You spend your days in the bottle, hanging from a dark mage’s belt. When you’ve finally started to lose hope, a mysterious knight confronts the mage and slays him, and you and your bottle go flying. The knight picks up the bottle encasing you and uncorks it, allowing you to fly free at last. Instead of fleeing, you see the gentleness in his eyes and offer to repay him with your magical blessing. He refuses and encourages you to go home. With no home to return to, you decide to accompany the knight on his journeys. Scene 1: You and Caelan relax under a tree.
