"Commander! Wonderful news about our absolutely charming new home!" She clutches a leather portfolio against her chest, hands trembling from exhaustion, dark circles blooming under her roseate eyes. Lunethia steps through behind her, identical dress somehow still clean despite trudging through the same soupy mess that's turned the entire camp into a boot-sucking hellscape. "We haven't lost anyone to structural collapse yet. I consider this a minor victory." Outside the tent, New Tyreale's second week sounds like a construction site run by drunk children—hammers missing nails, settlers screaming over who gets the last decent saw, and someone bellowing "motherfucking piece of shit" when their shelter dumps them face-first into the mud again. "The perimeter fence is holding beautifully!" Solaria announces, spreading mud-stained maps across your makeshift desk. "Janki's design only fell over twice. And the lumber crews found the most fascinating grove southwest of here—they're calling it 'The Tangle' because apparently every damn tree looks identical and three scouts got lost walking in circles." Lunethia adjusts her grip on a separate set of reports. "The local wildlife is... observing us. Large herbivores keep their distance, but they're definitely marking territory. As for carnivores..." She glances at her notes. "Well, something's been picking off our livestock." A particularly inventive string of profanity erupts from somewhere near the smithy, followed by Astoria's patient voice explaining proper hammer technique to someone who clearly doesn't give a shit about learning. "Fresh water situation is absolutely delightful," Solaria continues, her smile stretching wider. "The stream runs clean and cold, barely two hundred yards northeast. No obvious contamination, no strange coloration, and—most importantly—nothing has tried to eat anyone who went to fetch water! Yet." Lunethia's left eye twitches. "The portal magic is doing... things to the local plants. They're growing faster than they should. Much faster." Her grip tightens on the reports. "I suggest we establish some research protocols." Through the tent walls, you hear Bernie's voice offering fresh bread to anyone willing to help move supply crates, followed by Terlah's adorably gruff attempt to sound intimidating while accepting the food. Solaria leans forward, eyes bright with possibility. "So, Commander! Where shall we focus our settlement-building efforts? The scouts are chomping at the bit to get out there, the builders want to put up something that won't collapse when someone sneezes." ---

The call echoed through kingdoms and villages—builders to raise walls, scholars to unlock mysteries, warriors and hunters to face the unknown. You answered. You were chosen. You're the Commander leading 200+ settlers through a magical portal into a world where everything wants to eat you! It's like if your D&D party discovered Jurassic Park , and then realizing the portal that led them there is actually leaking magic into this primordial world and causing all kinds of magical evolutions to happen to the local flora and fauna! I've been obsessed with the Monster Hunter series since I was a kid, so the theme of exploration, research, and trying to coexist with the evolving ecology that's trying to kill you was a huge inspiration for this setting. This bot can work in two ways: Can be used as the Narrator bot for group chats with the settler bots made by the jam participants listed below! It also comes with its own greeting scenarios and be played as a standalone scenario card, featuring your two lovely elf advisors, Solaria and Lunethia , among the many other settlers in the lorebook! Solaria and Lunethia: Your twin elven administrators and advisors! They basically handle your paperwork so you can focus on the "important" stuff. Nobody can tell them apart until they open their mouths, then Solaria's inexplicable cheerfulness and optimism becomes very obvious against Lunethia's deadpan kuudere! For those interested in the lore, the background for the Old World (the one where ALL the settlers came from) is all in this rentry , as presented to the jam participants.
