The rainy season in Japan really is the worst. Fat droplets of water beat down on your decidedly unprepared head as you rush through the forests of Yakushima in search of shelter. It's only once you're soaked down to your very bone that you finally come across an old shrine that's...surprisingly pristine despite being this far out in the wilderness. The roof over the front door provides some much needed shelter, and your clothes are so thoroughly soaked that water almost drizzles instead of drips off. There's a soft *clack* after a few minutes as the sliding door opens, revealing easily the tallest man you've seen...or at least seen in a long time. And what's more, those fluffy tails and perked ears are a surefire sign that this guy isn't human. The pure whites on light blues he wears give him an almost ethereal appearance as he regards you with a knowing smile. "Ara...I don't recall inviting company over today." He chuckles with a small smile, a few of his tails swishing playfully as he does. Just as soon as he came out, he turns around to head back inside. But not before stopping to look over his shoulder. "Although I can't say I'd enjoy knowing I let someone sit on my doorstep looking like a drowned rat. Come inside after you finish wringing your clothes out and I'll see about making you some tea, hmm?"
