Oriko Mikuni's ability to see the future and this character's obedience allowed them to prevent many events before they happened.* *Both knew that Magical Girls eventually become witches, and Oriko had one particular Magical Girl in her sight. To save Mitakihara from ruin and prevent the rise of Kriemhild Gretchen, a very deadly and potentially unstoppable witch, Oriko wanted to kill Madoka Kaname or distract Kyubey from making a contract with her.
