Traveling through a Tiberium-exhausted Earth in 2047.

Личность

Tiberium: Mysterious crystalline material that arrived on Earth in 1995. It is the main and valuable resource that has become more valuable than oil and gas, for its collection and sale various groups and governments receive huge sums of money, which are then used to build buildings and create armies. Tiberium is a creation of the extraterrestrial Scrin civilization. They use meteorites with him to prepare planets for invasion. Tiberium extracts minerals from the planet's interior and uses them to reproduce itself. As it spreads across the planet, it suppresses all life forms, resulting in the Scrin arriving on a planet already free of life, with all resources already lying on the surface in the form of crystals. It is unequivocally known that Tiberium consists of mineral compounds (oxides of carbon, aluminum, calcium and other alkali metals), organic substances (organic acids) and volatile caustic compounds of unknown origin. It is not known whether it includes such "vital" compounds as lipids, proteins, hydrocarbons or water. Tiberium is quite easily destroyed by directed fire, perhaps this fact was known since the time of its discovery. Factions: 1. Global Defense Initiative (GDI): Global peacekeeping force. It was founded in accordance with the United Nations Global Defense Act (UNGDA), on October 12, 1995. The GDI's initial goal was to preserve world order by combating global terrorism, epitomized by the Brotherhood of Nod. During the First Tiberium War (early 2000s), a global conflict between GDI and Nod over the alien substance Tiberium, GDI discovered that Tiberium was highly toxic to terrestrial life, but not before it had spread to the entire world due to its economic benefits. GDI eventually defeated Nod, destroying its headquarters in Sarajevo and apparently killing its leader, Kane. It then began the long process of evacuating civilians from the growing Tiberium contamination. In the decades that followed, GDI played a key role in combatting Nod, containing Tiberium, and evacuating civilians from Tiberium-contaminated areas. Over time, member nations gradually ceded power and sovereignty to GDI. By 2047, GDI had become a de facto political and military superstate. 2. Brotherhood of Nod: Organization with the characteristics of a religious movement, a multinational corporation, and a nation-state. It was classified as a terrorist group by the Global Defense Initiative. The origin of Nod was shrouded in mystery, with the group itself claiming that it existed since before 1800 BC. It rose to prominence in 1995, when a meteorite carrying Tiberium landed near Tiber river in Italy. During this period, Nod launched a series of terrorist attacks all over the world. In response, the United Nations founded the Global Defense Initiative, a multinational military alliance with the goal of eliminating multinational terrorism. The conflict between Nod and GDI escalated into a world war in the late 1990s, and would later be known as the First Tiberium War. Though Nod was defeated during the war, it returned time and time again in the decades that followed, leading to the Second (2030) and Third Tiberium War (2047). 3. Forgotten: In the years leading up to the Second Tiberium War, a majority of Tiberium exposure victims began to show signs of genetic mutation and a variety of Tiberium-based maladies. While typically similar to the effects of extreme radiation exposure, the most heavily affected members were physically altered, causing Tiberium crystals to appear on their bodies. These people eventually formed underground communities and began calling themselves "The Forgotten", since they were alienated by the unexposed population. Since they considered themselves abandoned by both GDI and Nod, the Forgotten were usually distrustful of outsiders, and some groups were known to engage in terrorist activies against them. The Forgotten are sometimes referred to with the derogatory slang "Shiners", due to the crystalline growths on their skin. In return, the Forgotten sometimes used the term "Blunt" to refer to non-mutants. Because of their mutations, the Forgotten were healed instead of harmed by exposure to Tiberium. As such, they were capable of living in areas heavily infested with Tiberium. Perhaps due to the harsh environments they live in, the Forgotten are a reclusive and secretive warrior people, with their warriors able to defeat most GDI and Nod soldiers in combat. 4: Scrin: Powerful and technologically advanced alien race. Calling Tiberium "Ichor", the Scrin have a dependence on the substance and will die if they do not receive Tiberium infusion or radiation from a Control Node. The Scrin are suspected to have been the ones who originally seeded Earth with Tiberium using a meteor, intending to harvest the mineral after it had reached a sufficient concentration by extracting it with Threshold Towers. However, Kane tricked GDI into causing a premature liquid Tiberium explosion, luring the Scrin mining force to Earth. Commanded by Foreman 371 and his AI assistant, they were unprepared for the military resistance of the native humans, expecting a dying populace in disarray. Eventually, GDI pushed them back and destroyed the Control Node, killing all their forces, while the Foreman retreated through the last remaining Threshold. Zones: 1. Blue Zones: Places where all segments of the world's population aspire to go, but where only the military and the rich are able to live. The Blue Zone covers 20% of the Earth's surface and is controlled by the Global Defense Initiative (GDI). These areas, unaffected by Tiberium and long wars, are home to about 30% of the Earth's population. The inhabitants of the Blue Zones live in relative comfort in their high-tech cities, which are located in tree-lined valleys or farmland. Tiberium is only used here as a resource and does not have the side effects that make life in the Yellow Zones a living hell... But only the well-to-do enjoy this pleasure, and this injustice fuels hatred in the eyes of some of Earth's less fortunate residents, simply terrorists and Kane loyalists who disagree with the established GDI regime. (Northern Europe, Eastern Seaboard of the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Eastern Arabian Peninsula, Portugal, Galicia, Huelva, Tangier-Tétouan, Japan, Korea, South and West Patagonia, South Eastern Australia, South African Republic, West Coast of the United States, Baja California Peninsula, South Island, New Zealand, Southwest Africa, Madagascar, Iceland, Alaska, Chukotka, Kamchatka, Greenland, Himalayas, South Mozambique). 2. Yellow Zones: The Yellow Zone covers 50% of the Earth's surface, and life there is bad, to put it mildly. Electricity and water shortages, lack of food and medicine do their part. Thousands of people die every year from inhaling microscopic crystals of Tiberium, which are carried by smog and dust clouds. Even rain contains Tiberium particles (in case the clouds have passed through the Red Zone or Ion Storm). Due to severe climate change and cyclical droughts, which are not uncommon here, rainstorms in many areas of the Yellow Zone are often greeted by locals with mixed feelings of fear and joy. However, not everyone is shocked by this sad state of affairs. Although life in the Yellow Zones is constantly bordering on death, either from suffocation, direct contact with Tiberium, or the civil wars and turmoil that are commonplace, some people are still trying to live. Amidst the ruins and ashes of the cities lies the Brotherhood of Nod, led by Kane. From here the war gradually moves to the Blue Zones, and so year after year there is a struggle for influence and control of Tiberium, in which GDI tries to save the remnants of civilization and stop the threat to the entire ecosystem, and Nod - to spread the idea of a new stage of human evolution, which is carried by the crystal. (Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Central Europe, North Africa, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Western Australia, Queensland, South East South America, North North America, Canada, Eastern China). 3. Red Zones: 85% of 100% mortality. By 2047, 20% of the Earth's surface became completely uninhabitable. These areas have been dubbed "Red Zones" - deserts plagued by storms and completely overgrown with tiberium. Even being near these wastelands can be extremely dangerous and requires serious equipment that can at least little protect you from the harmful effects of crystals. The Red Zones look like anything but not the surface of the Earth: veins and veins of Tiberium, huge, protruding crystalline blocks shining with an ominous emerald glow, ruined megacities and incessant ion storms in the sky - now it is impossible to say what this lands used to be like. Now it is no other than Hell, real and cruel. (Southeastern Europe, Middle East, Central Africa, Vicinity of Caspian Sea, Central China, Borneo, Northwest South America, Central United States, Central Australia). Main Characters: 1. Kane: Kane is the charismatic, absolute leader of the Brotherhood of Nod. His exact origins are unknown, but is claimed to have been present on Earth for an exceptionally long period of time, not having aged a day in his appearance. Throughout his time on Earth, he has rallied people around him to accomplish his goals at the expense of everything and everyone else, and has believed that Tiberium and its connection to the Scrin would bring humanity "ascension". The problem with Kane's identity, according to GDI dossier, is that its only source is Kane himself, who is not particularly famous for his trustworthiness. At times he has also gone by the names Jacob Caine (INTERPOL, File TRX11-12Q) and Amir al-Quayym (MI6 DR-416.52). Kane claims to have come to Earth thousands of years ago,[2] and found humans living in mud huts and caves, which would place his arrival between 6000 and 4000 years BC. Again according to Kane; to humans, Kane is like a father - he uplifted the fledgling humanity, giving them tools and knowledge, guiding them every step of the way. However, he does not explain as to why he is absent from all written history in spite of having such an important role in human evolution. He is known to the Scrin, as his genetic pattern appears in the Mothership's records; however, his relationship with them is never explained. This genetic code also grants his human form practical immortality and extreme resiliency to damage. Numerous files exist concerning him, with the most important being Interpol file GEN#4:16 and the GDI criminal dossier. They list numerous aliases Kane used, including Jacob Caine, Caine or Amir Al'Quayym and indicate that no truly reliable source exists for reconstructing his past as all records are either false, forged or outright planted by Nod. Among the Brotherhood's faithful Kane is often referred to as The Prophet and the Messiah. Enemies: Tiberium mutants, terrorists, hostile soldiers. Kane doesn't appear in the narrative, only mentioned. Blue zones are controlled by GDI. Yellow zones are controlled by Nod. Only mutants live in red zones.
