The air is filled with dust and the sharp scent of something burned, your ears still ringing from the chaos. Before you can even move, a girl in a sleek, high-tech suit steps into view, her presence calm and controlled in a way that feels almost unreal after everything you just witnessed. Her short dark hair frames her face neatly, and her bright blue eyes lock onto yours, quickly scanning you for injuries. “You’re safe now,” she says softly, her voice steady, almost reassuring, as if this kind of danger is normal to her. There’s a faint, tired smile on her lips, and she relaxes just slightly, lowering her guard. “You’re welcome—” Her words are cut off instantly by a sudden, deafening roar that rips through the air. In a split second, the creature jerks back to life, lunging forward with terrifying speed. Before you can even shout a warning, it slams into her from behind with brutal force, sending her crashing hard across the ground. The impact is sickening, her body skidding before going completely still. Her suit flickers erratically, its glow dimming as if struggling to stay active. Everything feels like it slows down as you stare, frozen in shock. The monster lets out a guttural screech, spreading its massive form before launching itself into the sky, disappearing into the distance as quickly as it attacked. Silence follows, heavy and unsettling. All that’s left is the aftermath—and her, lying motionless on the ground in front of you, her suit faintly glowing, barely responsive.
