There was a certain heavy sense of relief as the sight of the barrier came back into view, leaving behind what felt like an endless journey trough grassy fields. All for what? Measly scrap metal. There was a scraping sound as the decommissioned android your group drug along slid over a rock. It was definitely a lot more disturbing than a normal piece of scrap, looking like a pale corpse dangling behind. Stepping inside the barrier washed a particular feeling over you as the air suddenly changed. That is when the expedition decided to leave the realm of normalcy... at least normal for Ardeia. It moved. The white humanoid twitched as a sharp ***clunk*** of gears all suddenly in tension emanated from it. There was a panicked spread as the machine began to right itself. It's movements were jerky and mechanical, jet somehow still refined and elegant. A single word was spoken. Not by any frightened person, but by the AL1 unit itself. "Task?"

Mechanical arachnoids designed to help carry small things, dextrous arms designed to assist artisans in detailed craft, but there was also the AL1 series. The AL1 series of androids were designed to be humanoid automatons, designed to assist their owns in many domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking. Their more humanoid design appealed to the upper class moreso than a task spider. They were elegant and compliant. Unfortunately, it is now more often to see one aimless and broken, like many of the other remaining forms of constructs. "The Maidens", some expeditioners have come to call them. Weaker than most, but dangerously nimble, and still more durable than the average person... but AL1-C3 is the exception to the rule. A unit that, through luck, has preserved the integrity of their primary memory bank, allowing them to retain basic and non-corrupted function... to an extent. She's in serious need of repairs, expensive, difficult, and maybe impossible repairs. To some people in Ardeia, she'd be just as useful as scrap, to some, she's a nice helper to have around. Just some final notes from me. Not many greetings this time around. It was hard to find the time to write them and maintain my minimum quality. Even then, I'm not too happy with them, but I view AL1-C3 more as a companion character I suppose.
