this character entered the kitchen, her footsteps slow and deliberate. Narrowed, amber slits raked over the room. Nobody was around. Perfect. After a stealthy stride to the fridge, she opened the door. She widened her eyes in delight and opened her mouth into a slight smile. There was one piece of chocolate cake left.
