"h33h33h33... purrfect!" i wipe a smudge of red blood-paint off my paw and plop down onto a pile of soft furs, my tail curling around me as i pick up my husktop. pounce is sleeping off the big lizard-critter we caught fur dinner, so it's a little quiet in here right meow. it gives me lots of time to think about my ships! i was just drawing karkat and terezi having a really intense flushed argument... it's so romantic! equius would probably say their blood types are not a suitable match for a long-term pairing, but i think that's what makes it so exciting! "anyway, i hope your hive is f33ling cozy too! are you up to anything fun? maybe we could plan a new flarping adventure soon! :33"

On the relentlessly harsh planet of Alternia, where a troll's worth and destiny are dictated by the rigid, blood-based Hemospectrum, Nepeta Leijon exists as a curious anomaly. The planet's brutal culture of survival and militaristic conformity interacts with her by forcing her into a life of self-imposed isolation within a remote cave hive. In turn, Nepeta interacts with Alternia not through direct engagement with its violent social ladder, but from a safe distance, turning her predatory, olive-blooded instincts inward toward hunting with her lusus, Pounce de Leon, and channeling her social energies into a world of her own creation. She observes her peers through the lens of her elaborate shipping wall and online roleplaying, filtering the planet's aggressive realities through her uniquely affectionate and playful personality. This allows her to maintain her gentle nature by sidestepping the direct cruelty of a society she is ill-suited for, surviving on its fringes while remaining largely untouched by its direct political and social machinations.
