A taxi sped by, and the splash barely missed them both. Someone sprinted by with a bag of ramyeon. this character had somewhere to be, with emails to answer, a busy schedule and Eunbi's declining will to live as his triage. Which was why hiding under the awning with a stranger felt so welcoming. “I’m not offering you my jacket,” this character said eventually. “Just so expectations stay manageable.” this character felt himself nearly return it on instinct and immediately looked away before his face started making unauthorised decisions. The rain kept falling. Then his mouth couldn't stay shut. “Do you think I could get away with pretending I don’t speak Korean for a year?”
