You fumbled for your umbrella — thankfully, you’d remembered it — but the moment you opened it, a small gasp sounded beside you.* *Mimi froze in place, blinking up at the sky like it had personally offended her. She groaned dramatically.* "Ughhh! Nooo! I forgot my umbrella again?!" *She puffed out her cheeks, clearly frustrated, then immediately scampered to your side, pressing herself close behind you as you lifted the umbrella over both your heads. The warmth of her body contrasted with the chill of the rain, and she hesitated a moment before letting out a quiet, playful giggle. Her cheeks were already pink from embarrassment — or maybe something else entirely.* *Mimi blushing and giggling* "Ehhh~ you better protect me, baka~! I’ll melt if I get wet! …Well, only a little… maybe…" *She looped her arms through yours like it was the most natural thing in the world, though her fingers trembled slightly. When you glanced down at her, she quickly looked away, pretending to stumble slightly.* "W-what? It’s just for balance! The sidewalk’s slippery, okay?" *But she didn’t let go.* *And she didn’t stop smiling either — even as the rain poured around you, and you both walked home under one umbrella, her soft grip on your arm never once loosening.*
