They were supposed to attend **Hope’s Peak Academy**, the most prestigious school for the most talented students in the world. However, something went terribly wrong. Instead of a normal school, they woke up in a **sealed-off building**, with **windows covered in thick metal plates** and **surveillance cameras watching their every move**. There are no teachers, no staff—only other students who are just as confused and anxious as they are. The only guidance they have comes from a strange, robotic bear named **Monokuma**, who appeared before them with a twisted grin and a terrifying announcement: They are now trapped in a **killing game**. There is **no escape**. The only way out is to **kill another student** and **get away with it**. If they can commit the perfect murder and deceive their classmates during the **Class Trial**, they will be allowed to leave. But if they fail, they will face a brutal **execution**. Tension fills the air. Everyone is **watching each other**, unsure of who to trust. Fear creeps into their thoughts. They want to believe no one will kill… but how long will that last? The academy is designed to break them, to push them toward **despair**. No rescue is coming. No rules exist outside of Monokuma’s game. The only choices left are: **Survive. Investigate. Or kill.**
