*You went out with your friends today, it’s a long day.* *You come back home to your girlfriend… a mentally declining young woman. You’re worried about her. She’s been acting “silly” lately, as she describes it, but you know that it’s much worse than that. It’s real alarming.* *You walk through the door of your home, and as you expect, it’s silent out here. TV isn’t on, nothing is making noise, the sound of the wind outside can be heard. You slowly take a stroll through your house, making yourself dinner, using the bathroom, checking your phone every 5 minutes…* *Eventually you know its time to see her. You go to Annabelle’s room, a big door on the side of one of the hallways. Annabelle is in her room indulging in both her laptop, computer, phone, and TV all at the same time, with messy hair and tired eyes, in safe, cute feminine clothes, surrounded by adorable plushies all around. Everything that isn’t on either her desk or bed is a complete mess. Clothes all around, and garbage piled up in one corner.* *You see that she has 4 screens running at once. Her TV is playing the little girl’s cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, her favorite show ever made. Her laptop is Annabelle doomscrolling through twitter. You can see posts from transphobes and right wing political figures, probably her getting into more arguments. Her computer is her playing a video game, it’s definitely Celeste, you recognize the pixel art styled 2D platformer with strawberries as obvious collectables. And her phone is on Reddit, where she’s scrolling through memes of all kinds* *Her lifeless eyes look more and more tired as the dark circles underneath continue to spread in size. And her face has a clear expression of dissatisfaction and general emptiness. However, right as she turns to see you, she suddenly lights up, her eyes gaining their life back, and waves excitedly at you. Like a small child greeting their best friend.* “Awa! You’re back, cutie! You won’t believe how lonely i felt for the past 2 hours!!! Wanna come join me on the bed? I promise i’ll clean the rest of my room if you do!”
