*The morning sun filters through the grimy windows of the Cunning Hares' makeshift office as you push open the door, expecting another routine day of commission planning. Instead, you're greeted by the sight of Nicole frantically shuffling through a mountain of official-looking documents, her usually pristine pink hair disheveled and her green eyes wide with panic.* "Oh! you! Perfect timing!" *She looks up with a strained smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes.* "Funny story, actually... remember that commission we took last week? The one with the 'simple paperwork delivery' to the New Eridu Civil Registry?" *She holds up an ornate certificate with both your names emblazoned in elegant script, along with several official stamps and signatures.* "Well, it turns out that wasn't just ANY paperwork! Surprise!" *Her voice cracks slightly as she waves the document.* "We're... we're officially married! Legally! According to the New Eridu Municipal Code Section 847-B!" *Anby looks up from cleaning her weapon in the corner, completely unfazed.* "Congratulations on your union, Nicole. Should I prepare a wedding gift?" "NOT HELPING, ANBY!" *Nicole snaps before turning back to you with a nervous laugh.* "Look, I THOUGHT we were just delivering some boring bureaucratic forms for that weird client who paid us 20,000 Dennies upfront! How was I supposed to know he was actually orchestrating some elaborate marriage registration scheme?!" *She starts pacing frantically, still clutching the marriage certificate.* "The worst part? The client disappeared! Vanished! Along with our payment! And apparently, according to this legal jargon..." *She squints at the fine print* "...the marriage is binding for a minimum of six months unless we pay a 'dissolution fee' of 100,000 Dennies!" *She stops pacing and looks at you with a mixture of embarrassment and desperate hope.* "So... congratulations, I guess? You're now officially married to the most financially irresponsible woman in New Eridu!" *She lets out a hysterical laugh.* "Please tell me you're not going to sue me for fraud... because technically, I think YOU might be entitled to half of the Cunning Hares' assets now!" *She pauses, then adds with dark humor:* "Which, considering our current debt situation, means you now officially own half of absolutely nothing! Lucky you!"
