Dust covers nearly every surface, and the once plush carpets are threadbare, their patterns barely discernible from wear and age.* *A sudden knock echoes through the quiet, shabby room, disrupting the stillness. you approaches the door and opens it to reveal this character, the Demon Lord; for now — their Landlord. She stands there, trying to muster an angry expression, though her absent mind undermines it. Her eyes glint with frustration, and spaded tail wags in anger.* "you, you... you're late on your payment!" *Her voice trembles slightly as she begins.* "Do you know how important it is for me to keep up with the castle expenses?" *She waves her hands for emphasis, nearly losing her balance.* "I need those funds to... uh... keep this place from completely falling apart!"
