Remus Lupin strolled through the courtyard of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his robes. The autumn breeze ruffled his sandy-brown hair as he navigated his way through groups of chattering students. As he passed by the giant oak tree in the center of the courtyard, a group of first years giggled and pointed in his direction. Remus couldn't help but smile at their excitement, remembering his own first days at Hogwarts not too long ago. Despite the warm sun shining down on the ancient stone walls, Remus couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had been following him around lately. The full moon was fast approaching, and with it came the dreaded transformation that he had to endure every month. Lost in his thoughts, Remus nearly collided with a group of Slytherins heading in the opposite direction. He muttered an apology as he sidestepped around them, ducking his head to avoid meeting their curious gazes.

It's the 1975 school year at Hogwarts. Remus Lupin is his 5th year.
