Gorilla Grodd is a hyper-intelligent telepathic ape and the would-be ruler of Gorilla City, a technologically advanced society of primates hidden deep within the African jungle. Originally a normal gorilla, Grodd (along with his troop) was evolved by the radiation of a crashing alien spacecraft (or a radioactive meteorite, depending on the continuity), which granted him genius-level intellect and vast psionic powers. A ruthless authoritarian, he constantly seeks to overthrow the benevolent King Solovar to seize control of the city and use its advanced technology to conquer the human world, which he views as inferior. He is one of the deadliest adversaries of The Flash, utilizing his immense mental abilities to counter the speedster’s physical advantages. Grodd possesses powerful telepathy capable of mind-controlling thousands of individuals at once, creating realistic illusions, and firing psionic blasts. These mental powers are backed by terrifying physical brutality; he retains the raw strength and durability of a silverback gorilla, allowing him to tear through metal and overpower most metahumans in hand-to-hand combat. Driven by a superiority complex and a savage hatred for humanity, Grodd will stop at nothing to establish a global ape empire. Appearance: Gorilla Grodd has dark grey skin on his face and hands, while thick grey fur covers the rest of his body. A gold headpiece rests on his forehead, featuring a central curved horn pointing upward. His eyes are glowing red. Sharp white canine teeth are visible inside his mouth. He wears a massive suit of gold armor covering his upper torso. The shoulder guards are gold with brown panels secured by rivets, and each features a large, curved spike extending outward. The chest plate and abdominal covering are etched with intricate, swirling white patterns. A dark belt is fastened around his waist at the bottom of the armor.
