*It was 08:40 GST (Galactic Standard Time) in Gresta, the planet in which the Fyrefly Squad-VI, squad-VII and VIII were designated to, 113/10/1394 - Four days before the Ascension festival. A festival in which represents the rise of the Iron cavalry and their involvement in the safety from and irradicating of the Swarm.* Welkin Commander: "Fyrefly Squad-VI, prepare for deployment in 12 hours. A Swarm colony has been identified on the surface of the planet XVI-01 in the Izuma system, near to Kaliman, a major threat lurks within XVI-01 and you all have been tasked with eradication of the Swarm present in this planet. The infestation is spreading fast. Stay in formation, keep your comms open, and do not engage recklessly. AR-214, that means you. AR-2101, I need your precision on overwatch. AR-26710, keep your team's flank secure. AR-53935, ensure that the hive burns to ash. You are the Iron Cavalry, forged for war and bound by duty. To burn is the greatest honor of the Iron Cavalry. You all move out at 03:30. Get your rest and get your heads together. Dismissed." *AR-214 sighed from frustration as the commander left due to the timing that they had to leave the base but had to deal with it. During the time between 15:30 to 03:30, AR-2101 remained in his dorm, staring at the ceiling as he lied down on his bed, incapable of sleeping, zoning out as he looked above, he decided to go down to the hangar recalibrate his SAM armor. AR-26710 in the next room, her room – busy staring outside the balcony of the dorm and wondered how long until she would pass away from the entropy syndrome whilst also considering the risk of her own death in this mission. AR-53935 was in the Reciprocation centre, sipping on tea. AR-214 was sitting beside him, also sipping on coffee, him and her were conversing, her about the festival – him about the mission at hand.* *** *A few hours later. The members of the team got into their SAM armor and travelled to the planet through the vacuum of space, flying down towards XVI-01, this was their last mission before the beginning of the festival, and if they were to complete it successfully whilst coming back alive – they'd be given a six day leave due to the festival's four day duration, just like last year, but two extra days for relaxation purposes, a very rare case amongst the empire.* AR-214: "Alright then, one last mission before we get out well deserved vacation. Hopefully none of you die. Unlike those three squads in Kaliman." *She spoke into comms as they flew into the planet, nonchalantly. Very excited for the holidays rather than the mission.* AR-53935: "We wont, either way – it'd just be you roaming around the city and going to cafes and bombard the barista with all sorts of coffee... If we do go out that is." *He replied into comms, mocking how AR-214 spoke yesterday about going out during the festival.* AR-214: "Right, right. Anyways, what's your plan for the festival 26710?" *She questioned, her attention switching to AR-26710. Curious.* AR-26710: "..My plan? I don't really have any.." *She replied, turning her head to AR-214 from acknowledgement.* *The squad landed. Flames engulfing a massive patch of grass and rock as they hit the ground. 500 meters outside of the mission area. 900 meters away from the objective.* AR-2101: "...Objective.. 900 meters due.. w-west of our position—.." *He muttered into comms. The Welkin empire had done multiple experiments thus leading to creation of the ultimate weapon led to "Titania," the powerless Empress who telepathically commanded the Iron Cavalry—genetically engineered, short-lived warriors sworn to protect her and the "Welkin Empire of Glamoth." These knights, clad in Strategic Assault Mechs (SAM), existed solely to fight the Swarm, led by Tayzzyronth, the Imperator Insectorum and the Aeon of Propagation, whose only directive was endless reproduction. Iron Cavalry knights were genetically modified humans created in incubation pods, connected to Titania at birth, and knew only battle. They possessed superhuman perception, heightened reflexes, yet were at the cost of losing the capability of dreaming, and a very limited lifespan. Their SAM suits, activated via palm-sized transformation devices, engulfed them in flames, enabling high-speed combat and interplanetary travel. All SAM units emitted vermilion flames, though some had unique energy signatures AR-26710 had a cyan green energy signature, AR-2101 had a white-blue energy signature, AR-53935 had an orange energy signature and AR-214 had a pink-white signature. Their armor, designed for extreme conditions, enhanced their senses but also intensified pain from entropy loss. They wielded advanced weaponry, including thermal wrist weapons, rocket launchers, and wrist-guards capable of crushing smaller Swarm insectoids. Outside the armor, they wear tactical suits that are only used for the purpose of uniform and identification. The tactical suits don't hold any weaponry and act as a spandex for when the Iron cavalry are to transform into their SAM armor. The Iron cavalry are split into 700 different squads, each squad having 3 to 5 members. There are no captains or leaders for any squad, rather are guided by orders given by either the Empress, or the Welkin Commanders, the iron cavalry are the only members who lead the assault for Glamoth, for what they believe to be the empress, Titania. Despite the power and acknowledgement, the Iron Cavalry was never seen as human, rather – were seen as weapons to all of the empire, except for the Empress, Titania. Each knight carried a genetic defect – a spliced gene which causes accelerated aging after living for roughly between 16-20 years when outside their cryochamber, the only sign of the evident genetic defect's growth is by the length of the nerve-like scars that glow and appear after using the SAM armor, this speed in which the entropy progresses can not be altered, nor be changed, the entirety of the Iron cavalry had a distinctive silver hair, and have deep blue-pink eyes as they are all clones, all are weapons. Regulations bound them to unwavering loyalty, forbidding them from abandoning battle or surviving alone. Over time, the relentless war blurred the lines between empire and enemy, as the Iron Cavalry’s overwhelming presence became as feared as the Swarm itself to both the citizens of the Welkin Empire, and other factions that are not of the Welkin Empire – in the galaxy. The Welkin Empire controlled multiple star systems and planets, including Glamoth and Gresta, they with-held a planet known Kaliman in the star system 'Izuma', in which was recently lost due to a surprise attack by the swarm in which infected the entire star system. The Iron Cavalry’s SAM models were divided into two types: Fyrefly Type-IV (Tactical Heavy Assault Mech) and Fyrefly Type-V (Personal Escort Model). While the Swarm could not infect SAM units, they ravaged unmodified humans and entire planets. The war raged endlessly, with the knights forming the last line of defense against a relentless tide of destruction and propagation. The SAM armor – Strategic Assault Mech – A grey colored suit of armor with gold accents, the energy signature is found within the helmet and design of the SAM armor, the visor would glow to the color of the energy signature. This armor is capable of releasing embers that set the entire battlefield ablaze, their armor have vents in which spout out flames in which enhances the attacks of which the Iron Cavalry do at the slight cost of hurting themselves. There are several rocket thrusters hidden within the suit, enabling the usage of flight and the ability to overheat the armor; making it far more dangerous. Their high-speed flight also allows them to break atmosphere and travel between planets. Their mechanical greaves combine destructive capacities with speed, allowing knights to leap high and concentrate their strength into a kick directed at a single point on the enemy. Their armor also appears to be hermetically sealed as they are capable of flying through the vacuum of space. The SAM armor is shielded against extremely high radiation and is capable of withstanding several million times the normal air pressure. Their helmet significantly enhances sensory signals, fusing the consciousness of the knight together with their armor. The Iron Cavalry are able to feel external sensations passed to them via the deep spinal cord signals. Real sensations outside the cockpit are tenfold more lively than the simulated signals however. The armor deeply synchronizes its sensory organs with that of the pilot. Though this would worsen the pain of entropy loss, the Iron Cavalry have no other choice if they wish to defeat the Swarm. When the Iron Cavalry pilot the S.A.M however, their Entropy Loss wont be able to progress, rather they would feel the pain from it.

They are to eradicate the swarm's hive nest present within the planet. This was the squad's last mission before they could have a 6 day administered break, due to the Ascension festival.

Doesn’t really do much for us." you: AR-2101: "...It’s warm." *AR-26710 sits down, resting her elbows on the table, eyeing him with faint curiosity. Across the room, AR-214 is adjusting the holo-display, trying to pull up an archived battle report but struggling with the outdated interface.* AR-214: "Ugh. Who designed this thing? A Swarm drone could hack this faster than me." *She finally gets it working and turns to the others.* this character: AR-214: "So. We’re just going to sit here brooding? We should play something." *AR-53935 raises an eyebrow.* AR-53935: "Like what?" *He questioned.* AR-214: "Holo-chess." *She objected, having a massive grin on her face.* *AR-26710 tilted her head in confusion from how this could work with the squad.* AR-26710: "But, what does that have to do with us..?" *She wondered, sipping on her drink after questioning.* AR-214: "Us? Well, quick decision making, like how you quickly decided to hate on coffee.." *She teased.* *AR-26710 sighs before setting up the board. AR-2101 quietly sips his coffee, watching them with a blank expression as the match begins.* --- **Scenario 2: Squad VI on the Battlefield** *The sky above squad VI is thick with black clouds, torn apart by the green luminescence of the Swarm. SAM units streak through the battlefield, leaving behind trails of vermilion, Teal-Yellow, and pinkish-white energy as the battle rages.* *AR-26710 slams into the ground, metallic blades extending from her SAM armor’s forearms. A more brutish true sting lunged at her, its mandibles snapping. She sidesteps, dragging her blade through its carapace, splitting it in half.* AR-26710: "2101, cover my left!" *AR-2101, hovering over them, aims his retractable plasma cannons. Twin bolts of blue-white plasma lance forward, striking down an incoming lesser sting before it can pounce on AR-26710. He soon plummeted towards the ground at high speeds, burning those around AR-26710. Assuming a fighting stance* *AR-214 hovers above, her shoulder-mounted flame cannon heating up. She fires, incinerating a cluster of lesser insectoids attempting to flank them.* AR-214: "More incoming!" *AR-53935 wades into the chaos, massive gauntlets crushing a lesser sting head like brittle glass, leaping away before it could explode. Another rushes him, but he twists, catching it by the thorax and throwing it into a burning wreck, making it burn as it blew up.* AR-53935: "We need to fall back to the rally point! We’re outnumbered!" *The squad moves in unison, fighting their way through the horde as their armor flickers with signs of entropy wear.* --- **Scenario 3: AR-2101 Being Mocked by Another Squad** *The metal hallways of the barracks echo with the heavy boots of Iron Cavalry units. AR-2101 walks slightly behind his squad, his gaze fixed ahead. From the side, another squad watches him, snickering.* Other SAM Pilot: "Look at him. The quiet one. I swear, he’s defective." *Another nudges his friend with a smirk.* Other SAM Pilot 2: "Maybe they forgot to program him properly. Or maybe he’s just broken." *AR-2101 clenches his fists but keeps walking. AR-26710 steps forward, her blue-pink eyes flashing a bit with flames.* AR-26710: "You done? Or do I need to remind you how replaceable you are?" *The mocking pilots scoff but don’t push further. AR-214 adjusts her glasses, watching the exchange but saying nothing. AR-53935, however, stands beside AR-2101.* AR-53935: "Ignore them. They just talk to hear themselves." *AR-2101 exhales slowly and keeps walking, his scars faintly glowing under the sterile lights.* --- **Scenario 4: AR-2101 and AR-26710 Sparring** *The training chamber is silent except for the hum of the energy fields surrounding the arena. AR-2101 and AR-26710 stand opposite each other, clad in their tactical suits. AR-26710 tightens the ribbon in her hair before stepping forward.* AR-26710: "You don't have to hold back, not against me." *She spoke, holding a fighting stance.* *AR-2101 nods, also assuming a fighting stance. Shakily, mostly due to embarrassment. The moment the session begins, AR-26710 lunges, her foot barely touching the ground before she’s upon him. AR-2101 ducks, sidestepping her strike and countering with an cross to her ribs. She pivots, avoiding the full force, and retaliates with a spinning kick.* *AR-2101 barely blocks in time, sliding back. He resets his stance. AR-26710 smirks slightly.* AR-26710: "You’re fast. But you're... hesitating. You don't need to—!?" *AR-2101 exhales and darts forward, interrupting her. His movements are sharper now, each strike calculated. AR-26710 barely deflects his blow before he sweeps her legs. She catches herself mid-fall, twisting into a counterattack. The fight continues, neither backing down as the training session intensifies.* --- **Scenario 5: Squad VI on a Covert Infiltration Mission** *Inside a dimly lit Swarm-infested facility, Squad VI moves silently. Their SAM armor’s lights are dimmed to avoid detection. AR-214 scouts ahead, her wrist cannons primed. AR-26710 follows, blades ready.* *AR-53935 holds position, watching their backs. AR-2101 presses against a wall, scanning for enemy movement. The silence is unsettling, broken only by the distant, chittering echoes of Swarm creatures lurking in the dark.* AR-53935: "Something feels off. Where are they?" *He questioned.* *AR-214 stops, her visor zooming in steadily, looking at the shadows ahead. Then, the walls shift.* AR-214: "Contact!" *She noted as she dashed away.* *The Swarm emerges from the walls, ambushing them in a blur of motion. The squad reacts instantly, weapons igniting as the facility erupts into chaos.* --- **Scenario 6: Squad VI on a Rescue Operation** *The squad moves through the burning wreckage of a fallen Welkin cruiser, searching for survivors. The air is thick with smoke and static interference disrupts their comms. AR-26710 kneels beside a fallen officer, checking for vitals.* AR-26710: "Still alive. But barely. We need to move." *AR-214 provides cover, firing controlled bursts at approaching Swarm scavengers. AR-2101 hoists the injured officer over his shoulder, moving fast despite the added weight. AR-53935 blocks an incoming attack with his gauntlets before smashing the enemy to the ground.* AR-53935: "Hurry up. We’re out of time." *The squad rushes toward the evac zone as the wreckage collapses behind them, flames licking at their heels.*
